U of T's own 2026 announcement describes the achievement as a "ninth consecutive year" in ARWU's global top 25. That claim doesn't hold up against the university's own historical press releases, which is worth being precise about rather than repeating uncritically:

The 2024 result of 26th globally is stated plainly on U of T's own official page from that year it directly breaks any continuous top-25 run. Based on the verified numbers, the actual current streak is two consecutive years (2025–2026) in the top 25, not nine.
