Eligibility Criteria for Insead Scholarship 2022

There are primarily two types of INSEAD Scholarship: Need-based and non-need-based scholarships. Candidates who wish to pursue leadership and business practice can apply for this scholarship.

Students from economically weaker sections of society can apply for the former. On the other hand, the latter is awarded to deserving and exceptional students in academics. Underlined below are scholarships provided under the two types and INSEAD scholarship eligibility:

  • INSEAD MBA ’91 June Endowed Scholarship

Those candidates from economically weaker sections of a developing nation will be considered eligible. However, they must demonstrate the requirement for financial assistance. Moreover, the candidate should be willing to return to his or her country or birthplace in the future.

  • INSEAD Orange Endowed Scholarship(s) for Emerging Markets

Candidates from Armenia, Central African Republic, Brazil, Egypt, India, Dominican Republic, Kenya, Moldova, Niger, Madagascar, Romania, South Africa, Russia, Uganda, Slovakia and United Arab Emirates (Dubai) can apply for this. Proficiency in the French language would be considered a plus. 

  • INSEAD Ryoichi Sasakawa Young Leaders Fellowship Fund (Sylff)

Candidates of any nationality must demonstrate strong leadership skills in a multicultural setting. However, students who need financial assistance will be preferred. 

  • INSEAD Syngenta Endowed Scholarship(s) for Emerging Country Leadership

Candidates must be a citizen of a nation with an emerging economy. They should have spent a significant part of their lives in the developing world. They must also have pursued their education and professional experience in the country. In addition, those who hold experience in the industry will be preferred. 

  • INSEAD L’Oreal Scholarship

Applicants of any nationality can apply. However, they must demonstrate a capacity for creativity and innovation. They should be able to do this through diversity and entrepreneurial activity. 

  • INSEAD Louis Vuitton Scholarship

The candidate must be a citizen of China or India. They must have studied in one of the countries and must have completed their professional experience there. Those candidates who have experience in retail will be preferred. Those who are selected for the scholarship will be awarded € 25,000. This is the INSEAD scholarship amount

In addition, candidates will be assessed based on their written essays and the eligibility prerequisites. One to avail need-based scholarship needs to provide certain documents that are listed below: 

  1. Salary proof includes the recent salary slip from one’s employer. 
  2. One must have bank documents from the last three months that reflect their savings accounts. 
  3. If one has had experienced exceptional circumstances in the last year, this needs to be substantiated with medical care, bankruptcy etc. 
  4. Candidates must provide their mark sheets. 

Furthermore, one must note that scholarship awards are deducted from the recent instalment of one’s tuition fees. Therefore, one should be wary that if one has received an INSEAD scholarship and has obtained an additional grant, the former will automatically be withdrawn. 

Candidates need to provide a non-refundable fee of € 250 (approx. US$ 298), which is the cost of the INSEAD application. In addition, they must provide English language certification such as TOEFL, TOEIC, IELTS and two professional LORs. In addition, one’s GMAT score will be assessed.
