A consolidated Marksheet is the summary of the overall academic performance of the student during the course or degree. There are two types of consolidated mark sheets- university and college consolidated mark sheet.

• In contrast to a consolidated marksheet, an individual scorecard is limited to a single(one) semester, and its grades and GPA are added to that.

Format of consolidated mark sheet

The consolidated mark sheet format differs from each semester’s mark sheet. Like other academic transcripts, a consolidated mark sheet is also provided on the letterhead. • Student’s Details: In the following line, the student’s name, father and mother, and department name are mentioned.

• Semester-wise Marks: Below are the students’ personal details; the maximum and obtained marks are mentioned across all semesters. At the end of each semester, SGPA is mentioned.

• CGPA: This is the most essential part of the mark sheet. At the end of the marksheet, a combined CGPA is provided based on the SGPA across the whole syllabus.

• Signature: The consolidated mark sheet is attested with the signatures of the Controller of Examinations of the said institution at its bottom.

• Pass or fail classification, Division (first, second or third place)

Difference between consolidated mark sheet and provisional certificate and transcripts

A consolidated mark sheet is offered as a provisional record to prove that a student has successfully completed the degree in particular subjects. It shows subject-specific marks of each semester exam expressed as CGPA.

A Provisional Certificate can also act as proof to state that a student has completed their degree without any backlogs. Unlike Consolidated marksheet, it doesn’t provide semester-wise CGPA. Instead, it calculates the total aggregate of the degree by averaging the aggregates from each semester. Moreover, it also mentions the students’ achieved divisions such as first, second, or third division.
