Notice that the entry-point Staff Nurse pay (Rs.41.6 lakh) clears the reduced threshold comfortably but sits below the standard €40,904 threshold. In practice, this means:

• Recent graduates (qualified in the past 12 months) can take an entry-level HSE offer and still meet CSEP eligibility.
• Nurses qualified more than a year ago need an offer at scale point 2 or higher, or a specialist/CNM-track role, to clear the standard threshold.

Counselor insight: Before you sign an offer letter, ask HR to confirm your exact scale point in writing. A job offer quoting only "Staff Nurse, HSE scale" without a point number is not enough to confirm CSEP eligibility.

No salary applies until the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI) approves your registration. For Indian-trained nurses (Group 3 applicants), the process requires qualification verification, English-language evidence (typically IELTS Academic or OET), and, often, an adaptation period or competence assessment.
