Eligibility Criteria
- Must have a domiciliary of origin outside the EU/EEA/Switzerland/ United Kingdom.
- Have received an offer of a place in a full-time course at an eligible Irish higher education institution for either:
- a taught master’s degree program which is at least one year long
- a research programme (i.e. research master’s or PhD programme) which is at least one year long.
- Applicants must have a conditional or final offer of admission to that higher education institution at the time of application and will be required to submit a copy of the same.
- The offer letter must confirm that the student has been offered a place on a full-time programme as an international fee-paying student.

Under the initiative, 60 scholarships will be provided for one year study at Masters or PhD levels to successful candidates who have an offer of a place at an eligible Irish higher education institution.
A Government of Ireland International Education Scholarship consists of –
- a stipend amounting to EUR 10,000 or INR 9 Lakhs for one year of full-time study at master’s or PhD level.
- full fee waiver of all tuition and other registration costs at the higher education institution.
