When I was a kid, I had a little pencil box which had these four buttons which gave the pencil box an operative use. When you press the button, the box would open up. When you press the second button, a little part of it would slide out. Basically it was just a little electronical and a fun thing to have and I owned it when I was in 6th. One day after break, I was standing and talking there with one of my friends and another friend of mine was running through the hallway and accidentally she pushed my shoulder and my pencil box hit the ground and it broke into multiple pieces to the point that it was not functional anymore.

Answer

It Ends With Us is a book I read recently. It's by the author Colleen Hoare. It's mainly a story about two teenagers, Atlas and Lily, and how they just handle their life going through high school, adolescence, and just domestic violence at home. Both of them come from very, very different families. However, they have one common determining factor between them, which is domestic violence. The abuse that they've seen their moms go through is just insane, and they connect through that on a different level. They're actually in the same high school, but they never speak to each other until Atlas actually crashes into an empty house next to Lily's villa. When Atlas is homeless and he doesn't have anywhere to go, he just comes and breaks into the house next to Lily's, and Lily helps him with all the daily necessities like clothes and food, medicines and stuff. Furthermore, their friendship blossoms into love, but it doesn't really fructify as Atlas has to leave. This book really gave me a lot of knowledge about domestic abuse and how to deal with it.

As I was a child, I used to speak only in English. Later on, when I was pursuing my studies, there the need of Telugu came as it was my second language. And I could not speak in Telugu and could not read. So I said to my father about this situation. So he gave me a tip to talk in Telugu and contacted Fitesh Sir so that he could teach me in Telugu. Then I bought some of the materials by which I can read and speak. So after it, I started reading in Telugu slowly. Then I also got enough courage to write stories in Telugu. Then times passed, I passed with A grade in it. I was on Claude 9 when I had seen my results. After which, my state also prefers Telugu language as many of the books were written in Telugu language. So as far as I can read now in Telugu, spellings and books, whatever I can read. And also I can address someone by speaking with Telugu. As whenever I go to village, I speak with people in Telugu language only.

We can communicate with the people with this media and it makes me a different kind.

Now I am able to understand those essence particularly British essence. It was very difficult for me to understand those essence but now by listening songs and watching some English movies and series on TV helped me a lot. Basically English is used as a native language in different countries. So it is essential to learn that language. Now I feel very confident and I am so excited to give a test on English and examine myself. Now I feel that I can speak English little bit fluently but I am able to understand

So, I had just finished my 10th class and I got a pretty long summer break. I was just wondering what I would do to improve my hobbies or learn a new language. And then it struck me that, oh, I could, I can learn Spanish. So that is when I started learning Spanish on Duolingo. So, I tried to stay consistent, but that wasn't really a case. I barely got through the initial introduction and how to introduce yourself in Spanish. So, that is when I started learning Spanish.

Band 6-7

Since my childhood, I had learnt 2-3 languages, but English was the one which I was very fascinated by and I wanted to learn that language. So I went and googled for the things that I need to do to learn this language and one thing popped up like to have conversations online with various different people who are doing the same thing, like they are trying to learn this new language. So I went on that app and started having conversations with them. Firstly, it was quite difficult for me, like that the person I was interacting with, but as the time went on, it started easing, it started getting easier for me to speak and have conversations with that person. I also used a lot of dictionaries and grammar books which were quite helpful during that time. I had thought of going to the coaching, but I didn't have the money to spend, that much amount of money to spend for the classes, so I instead opted for this type of learning.

I recently got interested in learning French because of the Canadian provinces, so I decided to learn French and for that I googled it on the internet and I found that there are many resources which I can follow to learn the language. But I found that Duolingo is something very helpful. Why? Duolingo not only offers you to learn the language in a written form but also helps in building the fluency and pronunciation. I am currently on a streak of 100 plus on Duolingo and I think that is very helpful for me to understand the language. One of the most important thing about Duolingo is that it offers many lessons like you can follow the course and if you don't find it interesting you can change it according to your plan. Many people enjoy other resources as well but for me Duolingo worked very well and it is still working for me. I am now currently at A2 level and there are many people who don't like Duolingo but I think that if you are going to follow something with honesty then that thing will surely help you. Furthermore, there are my friends which are not following Duolingo and doing a lot more other things as well. For example, they are joining coaching institutes and other things as well. Moreover there are times when people think that Duolingo is very old fashioned and you can't learn a language from it but I think that it is not true. If you want you can learn any language with anything. You just have to follow your passion and work upon it.

Band 6-7

One of the languages that I have really enjoyed learning is Spanish. My interest peaked in the language when I was in the 10th grade and I was sitting in the comfort of my home when I came across this app called Duolingo. I did not know about the app so I spent quite a lot of time searching and researching what the app has to offer. Suddenly I saw this language that instantly grabbed my attention and I wanted to sit and learn the language, which was Spanish. How I came across this language was music. Latin music has always been close to my heart and I genuinely enjoy the beats and the lyrics that go into the making of the sounds. How I developed this interest in learning the language was that I always admired native speakers as they had a nice ring to everything they say. Anything people used to say in Spanish grabbed my attention because it sounded so beautiful to the ears, so natural, that I always wanted to learn the language. Apart from that, learning Spanish did not make me quite fluent in the language but it did give me an opportunity to watch movies and understand bits and pieces of the words that the characters throw around so efficiently. I did feel a sense of accomplishment when I was watching a movie and I could understand a few words like casa, which means house, dinero, which means money, and I was genuinely happy that the effort and time I put into sitting every day and learning a lesson for 15 minutes was paying back when I watched movies and listened to songs where I could understand the lyrics and get along with the language. That was close to my heart.

Ever since I was a child, I was into Korean dramas and Korean movies. I think I have grown my entire life seeing those dramas and movies. I was always astonished as to how people treat each other with so much respect. Because they call each other Mr. and Mistress. It always made me want to study Korean. Three years ago, I thought I should make an effort to learn this language. What I did was I downloaded the Duolingo app which has been famous among the youngsters now. So many people use that to prepare for the IELTS too, I guess. I used that app and there were certain options as to how much you know about Korean. What do you want to be in Korean? Do you want to be a communicator or do you just want to learn the basic stuff? For me, I just wanted to learn the basic stuff because I don't think I'll be communicating with Koreans anytime soon. I just want to know the basic terms. How do you say good morning, good afternoon, thank you, how are you? In the Duolingo app, you get certain bonuses if you attend the test every single day. I tried to do it for almost a month but after a month, I was not able to continue the same. And this led me to lose all the bonuses I ever had.
