When I was a kid, I had a little pencil box which had these four buttons which gave the pencil box an operative use. When you press the button, the box would open up. When you press the second button, a little part of it would slide out. Basically it was just a little electronical and a fun thing to have and I owned it when I was in 6th. One day after break, I was standing and talking there with one of my friends and another friend of mine was running through the hallway and accidentally she pushed my shoulder and my pencil box hit the ground and it broke into multiple pieces to the point that it was not functional anymore.

It Ends With Us is a book I read recently. It's by the author Colleen Hoare. It's mainly a story about two teenagers, Atlas and Lily, and how they just handle their life going through high school, adolescence, and just domestic violence at home. Both of them come from very, very different families. However, they have one common determining factor between them, which is domestic violence. The abuse that they've seen their moms go through is just insane, and they connect through that on a different level. They're actually in the same high school, but they never speak to each other until Atlas actually crashes into an empty house next to Lily's villa. When Atlas is homeless and he doesn't have anywhere to go, he just comes and breaks into the house next to Lily's, and Lily helps him with all the daily necessities like clothes and food, medicines and stuff. Furthermore, their friendship blossoms into love, but it doesn't really fructify as Atlas has to leave. This book really gave me a lot of knowledge about domestic abuse and how to deal with it.

I'm a huge Coldplay fan and definitely one song that I go by is Lights Will Guide You Home by Coldplay. The very line Lights Will Guide You Home and Ignite Your Bones is the line that has been my motivation throughout my lowest of lows. It has been my saviour for the longest times, especially when I felt like I have hit the rock bottom and that there is no way to move past, you know, whatever I'm facing in life in that particular time. This is a song about hope. It talks about how, you know, there is a superpower, there is a higher power in the universe that will always be your guiding light. It will anchor you back, it will show you the path where you need to be, which is why I highly resonate to the song. I think Coldplay in general is a band that has done some amazing songs, Fix You is another, We Pray is another. These are the songs that have been my motivation songs of lately, especially when one is hustling. I think songs become a means to sort of, you know, get that spirit, get that enthusiasm to actually do some sort of hustle in that direction.

The line that I would like to talk about is, goes like, if I ever found a flaw in you, I would say that my eyes are the fraught ones. I like this line because it's very heart-wrenching and very full of emotions. In the line, the writer explains that in his loved one, he can never find any flaw. And if there is any flaw, he says that if he ever found any, he would say that his eyes are the ones that are flawed, meaning that he can never see any imperfections in his significant other. He can never see imperfections in his simply significant other. The line gave me food for thought because I had to sit back and think about it, how beautiful this line is and how much in love one has to be to write it. How much absorbed in the other person's beauty one has to be to write and create such a beautiful piece of poetry, which is not even a full-fledged poem, but just two lines. How can two lines affect us so much? How can they be so much effective?

One of the lines that I remember from a poem or song is, I am homesick. I am homesick for a place that I don't even know exists. It's not by a famous writer or a singer. It's basically by me. I used to dabble into poetry writing initially during my teenage days and that is when I came up with the poem. Right now I can only remember these two verses. However, for me, these two verses hold a lot of significance. I remember them because they depict my condition. They demonstrate how I feel being in these surroundings. As a child, you are always taught to depend on others, to believe in your family. However, when there is no family, when there is no roots that you can depend on, you feel homesick. You feel like running away to a place that you are not even sure exists or you don't even know what you are searching for anymore. So it is significant for me because it's my story. It makes me feel like I can relate to something. I have gone ahead and initially posted this poem and I had a lot of positive feedback coming in from different people. So it's nice to know that I am not the only one feeling this way. I am not the only one who does not have a home or a place to run back to. Isn't it beautiful?

Being a music lover, I have the habit of listening to my favorite music. Not only when I am happy, but also when I am depressed. One line from a song that I remember is All is well from a famous song from the Bollywood movie named Three Idiots. I watched this movie for the first time in my school. It was played as a part of a film festival conducted by our school. It became my favorite song and I played it several times after watching that movie. Few years ago, my life was in a difficult situation. I could not even focus on my studies and work. I had a feeling that I was not able to succeed in my life. One day while I was watching the television, I came across this song and it immediately caught my attention. After decoding the meaning of this line, my life changed drastically. This line tells you to trick your brain by giving a comment called All is well. Through this technique, a person can change his mindset and instead of overthinking, he can focus on his work or studies. After following the advice given in this line, I was able to change my mindset and I started following this trick. After some days, I could study with dedication and determination. This changed attitude did wonders for me and I succeeded.

My favorite song from where I know is We Are The World, sung by Michael Jackson along with other legendary artists. And this song was released in the year 1985 to raise funds for a mind relief in Africa. What I love about this song is its powerful message of unity and compassion. The lyrics remind us that we are all connected and that we have the power to make a difference in the world. I remember listening to this song as a child and feeling inspired by its uplifting melody and meaningful lyrics. Even today, whenever I hear this song, it fills me with a sense of hope and motivation to contribute to making the world a better place. This song features a super group of artists and my favorite including Michael Jackson, Leonel Richie, Stevie Wonder and many others. The combination of their voices creates a beautiful sound that has become iconic in the pop culture. Overall, We Are The World is not just a song, it's a call to action that reminds us of our responsibility to help those in need and to work together towards creating a better world. And I still remember the day that we sang the same song as a tribute to the people being affected due to the flood that happened back in Kerala a few years back. And it was really hard for us to see that the people were being troubled, the people were struggling to find a way to live after the flood had happened.

I read books or listen to songs whenever I find leisure time. In fact, poems and songs are an escape from reality for me. I remember countless lines from songs that I love, but there is one line from a song that I adore the most that says, I bore a flame that burned a thousand suns for you, but it died. This line is from a song called I Lied by Lord Huron. Lord Huron is a band with a unique and diverse taste in music. The melodies they produce carry a heartwarming rhythm which makes them indelible. I absolutely love listening to their songs as such lines tug at my heart strings. I find solace in such lines as they remind me of the strength of affection I once had towards a person.

The words that I am quoting are as follows. It started out as a feeling, which then turned into a hope, which then turned into a quiet thought, which then turned into a quiet word. These are a few lines from the title song from the movie Prince Caspian from the Chronicles of Narnia. The song was sung by Regina Spector and the reason why I remember it is because this song was so beautiful and it stayed in my head for a long long time as a child. During my youth, I used to read a lot and one series of novels that I came across which was absolutely spellbinding was the Chronicles of Narnia. It was a set of seven books and I remember reading it and feeling in awe of the premise of it, the characters, the storyline. The novel gives us a feeling of grandioseness and that is a feeling that stayed in my mind as I finished the novel series. I then remember that it got released into a movie and I saw it. I really liked the movies and the same feeling of grandioseness and mystery and enchantment stayed with me. Things that hit you as a child stays with you forever and the deep impact it had is what makes me remember it.

I will talk about one of my favorite song which is from an Australian band called Tame Impala. The name of the song is New Person, Same Old Mistakes. The first time I heard that song was at 4am in the morning while I was returning back from a party with my brother, driving through the streets of Delhi just seeing the sun come out in the morning. And it was, I had never heard of this artist before but the beats were so amazing that they really resonated with me. And the line is, feel like a brand new person but you make the same old mistakes. And it is something that I always do. I always try to keep evolving as a person but I end up making some of the same mistakes. And it is something small but it is something that really touched me. Not short after, actually just next month of this discovery of the artist, I had a major accident which left me bedridden for 3 months. The doctor did not know if I would be able to ever walk again because I had sustained a pretty serious injury. I fell from the 3rd floor of my home and landed 2 stories down on top of a planter that we had in our balcony. And this song just gave me hope. It said, the lyrics also say that I should just let it happen. And I just let my body heal itself and lo and behold, in a few months I was just able to walk again. Something I never thought that I would be able to do.

Interestingly, I am someone who listens to a lot of music, songs to be specific. So there is this one song named In The Stars by Benson Boone. And in this song, there is a line which says, Now you are in the stars at six feet, never felt so far. So basically, this is a song from a boyfriend who lost his girlfriend to death. It's about a girlfriend who passed recently. So the significance that this song holds in my life is that I am someone who went through the same thing in my life. So it is very, very connected to me. And I happened to hear this song before that I went through something like that. Therefore, I was already attached to this song even before. Where am I on this song? When the song released, it was a hit. But I usually stayed away from this song because it was too dark. And I actually understood what the writer was saying. So therefore, when this song popped up in my head, I usually skipped to the next song. But after the same thing happened in my life, this song became my favorite song. And I listen to it every day, even today, even in the bus.
