When I was a kid, I had a little pencil box which had these four buttons which gave the pencil box an operative use. When you press the button, the box would open up. When you press the second button, a little part of it would slide out. Basically it was just a little electronical and a fun thing to have and I owned it when I was in 6th. One day after break, I was standing and talking there with one of my friends and another friend of mine was running through the hallway and accidentally she pushed my shoulder and my pencil box hit the ground and it broke into multiple pieces to the point that it was not functional anymore.

    Answer

It Ends With Us is a book I read recently. It's by the author Colleen Hoare. It's mainly a story about two teenagers, Atlas and Lily, and how they just handle their life going through high school, adolescence, and just domestic violence at home. Both of them come from very, very different families. However, they have one common determining factor between them, which is domestic violence. The abuse that they've seen their moms go through is just insane, and they connect through that on a different level. They're actually in the same high school, but they never speak to each other until Atlas actually crashes into an empty house next to Lily's villa. When Atlas is homeless and he doesn't have anywhere to go, he just comes and breaks into the house next to Lily's, and Lily helps him with all the daily necessities like clothes and food, medicines and stuff. Furthermore, their friendship blossoms into love, but it doesn't really fructify as Atlas has to leave. This book really gave me a lot of knowledge about domestic abuse and how to deal with it.

A photo that I took and I'm really proud of is that of my childhood friend group. I took this photo around 4 years ago when all of us friends were in the same city and we met after a really long time. Surprisingly, the camera that I used wasn't mine. I clicked that photo on a Polaroid camera that belonged to my friend. In that photo, all of my childhood friends are sitting across the table in a cafe. The food is there on the table and everyone is sitting across it. Everyone's hands are locked on each other's shoulders. And I'm really really proud of this photo that I smile at looking back with all of the people that I really love being there in a single photo. Sadly, I wasn't in that photo because I was the one clicking it. But that was the best photo that I still keep in my wallet to this day. I think Polaroids are a really cool way of capturing moments. I still keep that in my wallet.

A photo that I took and I was very proud of was one which I took last year during summer vacation when I went to Manali. It was a scenic picture and it was incredibly beautiful. The mountains were perfectly placed, perfectly angled, the waterfall was flowing from the center, the clouds perfectly aligned, a little bit of sunshine falling on the mountains and you could see that slight shine of the waterfall and the picture was just so calm and scenic and peaceful. When you looked at it, you could feel that we were truly in heaven. So that was something that I was very proud of at that moment.

A few months ago I had the opportunity to be a part of a beautiful conference which was held in Morocco. Apart from attending the conference, I also explored the country of Morocco which is situated in Africa and is on the border of the Atlantic Ocean and the Mediterranean Sea. I travelled along with my professor and we accompanied each other to the Strait of Gibraltar in the city of Tangier which is the northernmost point of Morocco. The photo that I clicked at the Strait of Gibraltar was exquisite because it captured the perfect blue sky and the endless horizon and the perfect blue water of Atlantic Ocean and Mediterranean Sea merging into each other giving such a picturesque scene which was etched in my mind and in this very photo that I took forever and I'm extremely proud of capturing that specific moment because it is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity that I had and this photo will always be special to me since it captured the beautiful monument that was erected since the time of Greek civilization and the photo captured was beautiful.

A photo I took that I'm very proud of is a photo I took on a trip to Jammu and Kashmir when I was 13 or 14, this was the summer of 2016-2017, I was in the 10th grade. This was the first time I realised that a certain amount of pain is okay in order to get fulfilment and satisfaction because the beauty of the snow of the Himalayas for a wondrous 16-year-old who had never seen snow before was impeccable, the joy was insurmountable. We had lost our belongings, we had gone through a lot to get to this point. I was on a horse with so much pain and there were hailstorms, it was cold, I'm from a place which does not get cold and this amount of cold and this amount of pain in order to see something so beautiful did not seem worthwhile when we started the trip but by the end of it when I took this photo on this old Nokia smartphone in a time where smartphones did not fully take off in the part of the country I'm from, taking this with my own hands with perspective changed something in me, it gave me perspective on life that sometimes things that are worthwhile take time, they take patience, they take pain and you have to go through all of this to reach a destination so beautiful. I treasure it so deeply and it is so old, it is not a good photo objectively speaking, it doesn't have light, it's not perfect, the snow is still bright but it shows a change, a point in time where everything turned, a point in time when I started appreciating the beauty of nature and beauty of things around me and the beauty of the journey and not the destination.

I took this photo sometime last year during Christmas. The photo was taken with my Nikon DSLR camera and the subject of the picture is my baby cousin who has recently started to paint. This picture contains my cousin splashing paint and I am proud of the picture as it captures her childlike expression of shock as the paint is flying in the air. The effect of the paint in the air is taken using a low shutter speed which records the individual splashes of paint in the air.

This photo is taken during Diwali evening. I made a proper set up in my home itself to take this photo. I created complete darkness and I set up a golden light. And I kept the phone in my window frame to take the photo. So this photo was shot on my phone camera itself. I stood there in front of the phone camera in a beautiful white sari and the golden light was reflecting very beautifully on my sari. So it made the look come out as golden. I was looking very alluring and like a piece of art in that. And that's the reason I'm very proud of it. And another reason to be proud of it is because it was shot on a phone camera, not on a particular proper film camera. This photo looks amazing because the pose in the sari, the lighting, the set looks completely coordinated. And at the same time, I know at the back of my mind that it is a very spontaneous process, but it looks very planned and very intentional. And in that photo, I must also say that it looks very professional. But as a fact, I know that I am immature at photography. I'm still learning things, but this experiment came out to be very, very beautiful.

I consider myself to be a master photographer and one photo that I am extremely proud of is one of my little sister when she was born. I did not use any professional tools for that photograph. I just had my phone and a steady hand. I remember the moment as vividly as yesterday. My sister had just been born but she was crying incessantly. She wouldn't stop after numerous, even after numerous efforts by the doctor, even after my mother tried to calm her down. But she just would not stop crying. It's as if she did not want to leave her mother's womb. She did not like the bright lights of the doctor's clinic. But I decided that maybe taking a photo of her would lighten her up. I went over her crib, bended myself a little and decided to take my photo at that very moment. Just as soon I had my camera on her and was gaining focus, she did the most unexpected thing. She smiled for the camera. My sister was a born model and I was lucky enough to capture that moment. The photo is still with me. It reminds me how adorable my sister is and is a cherished memory.

So I'll talk about a photo that I took couple of years back and I'm really proud of it. I'm not a photographer nor do I have interest in photography but there was one incident where me and my husband had gone to Pondicherry couple of years back and we were sitting on the beach and we envisioned the most beautiful sunset that we had ever seen in our life. The place that we were sitting at was a very clean beach with a vision of a very clear horizon. We could see the ocean and the sun meeting and the sun was getting submerged in the ocean with a bit of cloud in between. As the sunset was happening, I could capture all the shades of orange and red undertones. The hues that were captured in the picture was just perfect and I was grateful enough because I did not have people on the beach. So it was a very private affair that we had which helped us capture that perfect photo. After that incident, my husband actually thought that I'm a very good photographer and he went ahead and got me a DSLR and I have been capturing photos ever since. However, going back to that incident, I would say I could never capture a much perfect sunset ever in my life and that was primarily because we were at the right location at the right

A photo that I took and am proud of was a portrait of my mother. This was taken back in the spring of 2025. I remember it very fondly because I used a DSLR camera which was gifted to me by my father. I am quite proud of this photograph because it was very well received by my mother who was the sole focus of the photo and also by my peers and my photography coach who told me that this was one of the best portraits that he has seen in the past year. Hence, this was indeed quite a memorable life event.
