UOWD Bachelor’s Fees in Rupees: Per Year, Per Subject and Full Degree

UOWD bills tuition each trimester by the number of subjects you take, and its page notes that yearly fees "vary depending on number of subjects enrolled". Both entry routes work out to 8 subjects a year: the 3-year advanced entry route has 24 subjects and the 4-year route with the Integrated Freshman Year has 32.

The tables below are our calculations from UOWD's published yearly rate:

For the 4-year route, UOWD's page left the yearly fee cells blank, so we assumed the same yearly rate at 8 subjects a year. Confirm it with admissions before you finalise a budget. Dividing the yearly fee by 8 gives roughly Rs.2,05,337 per subject (Rs.2,23,007 for Engineering), which is also our calculation, not a UOWD figure.

UOWD Master’s Fees in Rupees: Why “Per Year” Figures Online Mislead

Some third-party pages list around AED 9,415 (roughly Rs.2.4 lakh) as a yearly master's fee. At UOWD, that is the price of one subject. A master's takes 10 to 12 subjects, so the real tuition is about ten times higher.

Watch the extra-subject note. UOWD says students with a three-year bachelor's, or a four-year degree without a research component, "may have to complete up to two additional subjects", and the note appears under programs such as the Master of Engineering Management and Master of Digital Transformation. Two extra subjects at AED 9,415.35 add Rs.4,87,527. Many Indian BCom, BSc and BA graduates hold three-year degrees, so ask admissions for your exact subject count.

Counselor insight: Compare universities on total program tuition, not on the per-subject or per-year number a website shows. Ask each university for the full subject list before you compare.

Student Visa, Health Insurance and Other University of Wollongong Dubai Fees

Beyond tuition, the biggest University of Wollongong Dubai fees item is the sponsored student visa (UOWD visa page):

Both amounts include 5% VAT and cover entry permit and residence stamping, a medical examination, the Emirates ID, and 12 months of health insurance (AED 2,000, or Rs.51,780). They also include a one-time visa maintenance charge of AED 2,500 (Rs.64,725), and UOWD refunds the unused balance after you cancel the visa.

Visas last one year and need renewal. UOWD's page gives no renewal price. New applications normally take 7 to 14 working days, but some take a month or more, and UAE authorities may ask for extra documents such as an attested birth certificate translated into Arabic.

How to Pay University of Wollongong Dubai Fees: Payment Plans, Deadlines, and Refunds

UOWD offers three ways to pay each trimester:

• UOWD Payment Plan: 50% before classes start, 25% in the second month, 25% in the third month.
• Amazon Payment Plan: instalments through eligible credit cards.
• Full payment: before the trimester starts.

If you want UOWD visa sponsorship, you pay the first trimester under the traditional plan, and instalment options apply after enrolment. You can pay by card online, by bank transfer (quote your student number and full name), or in cash at Al Ansari Exchange, which charges a transaction fee. Cash deposits into UOWD's bank account are not permitted.

For Autumn 2027, UOWD's academic calendar sets these dates:

Counselor insight: A transfer from India can take several working days to reach UOWD, and a payment without your student number cannot be matched to your account. Start the transfer well before 3 September, and write your student number in the reference.

Scholarships That Reduce University of Wollongong Dubai Fees

UOWD's scholarship pages confirm these discounts:

• New bachelor's students: academic merit scholarships cover 15% to 50% of tuition each trimester, awarded first-come, first-served.
• New master's students: 15% to 25%.
• Sports: the Adam Gilchrist award gives a 50% bursary, subject to conditions.

You can hold one scholarship at a time. Scholarships cover tuition only and are not transferable to UOW Australia unless stated. At current rates, 15% of a year's bachelor's tuition is Rs.2,46,404 and 50% is Rs.8,21,347. A 25% master's scholarship on the MBA saves Rs.7,45,419 over 12 subjects.

How Much Will Year One Cost You? Four Scenarios

All four scenarios exclude living costs, books and flights.

1. If you are a Business bachelor's student with no scholarship, year one is tuition Rs.16,42,695 plus a visa from outside the UAE at Rs.2,13,256, so Rs.18,55,951.
2. If you win the lowest 15% merit scholarship, tuition falls to Rs.13,96,290 and year one is Rs.16,09,546. The scholarship percentage varies, so confirm yours in writing.
3. If you are an MBA student, and we assume 6 of the 12 subjects fall in year one (our assumption), tuition is Rs.14,90,838 and year one is Rs.17,04,094.
4. If you are a BTech graduate joining the Master of Engineering Management, 10 subjects cost Rs.24,84,731, but if UOWD requires two extra subjects the total becomes Rs.29,81,677, a difference of Rs.4,96,946.

What to Do If Fees Rise, a Payment Is Missed or a Visa Is Delayed

• Fees rise: UOWD says fees can change without notice. Ask admissions in writing for the fee that applies to your intake.
• A payment is missed: the calendar says payments must be completed before the due date to avoid penalties. Contact Finance on +971 4 278 1830 (Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM) before the deadline.
• You need to withdraw: use the refund ladder above. Your UOWD-sponsored visa is cancelled immediately if you end your studies, and the unused visa maintenance balance is refundable.
