About the Scholarship

  • The WIA Foundation is glad to offer scholarships to women pursuing higher education degrees in engineering, math, or science who are interested in a future in aerospace.

The Women in Aerospace (WIA) Foundation, Inc., a nonprofit educational organisation founded in 2009, has three objectives:

  • Educate the public about the value and advantages of the aerospace industry.
  • Raising awareness of aerospace science and technology.
  • Encourage female students to acquire the knowledge and abilities needed to lead and innovate in the field of aeronautical technology.

Awarding scholarships to female undergraduate students majoring in engineering, mathematics, or science, the Foundation partially achieves its goals by:

  • Entice women to pursue professions in the aerospace industry,
  • Increase female leadership opportunities in the aerospace industry
  • Raise the profile of women in the aerospace industry.
