Abdul Majid Bader Graduate Scholarship is named after Abdul Bader, who was born in 1949 in Tehran, Iran's capital city.
Mr. Bader decided to leave a significant portion of his Canadian assets to Dalhousie University in order to establish the Abdul Majid Bader Graduate Scholarship Fund for international Doctoral or Masters students.

Scholarship amount details
For one 12-month academic year of full-time study, the scholarship is worth $40,000.
The scholarship is renewed every year, subject to an annual review of progress.
The scholarship can be used for up to 24 months of full-time education.
Fees are not covered by the award and must be paid out of it.
Eligibility
Iranian applicants will be given first priority for the grant, with overseas students being considered if no Iranian applicants apply.
Students in their final two years of academic studies with a first-class academic standing (>3.7/4.3) are eligible to apply.
You may already be enrolled in a graduate programme or have yet to start one. Students who have not yet begun their degree programme or who are in their first year of study at the time of application are given priority.
Application Process
Applications for the Bader scholarship are received through the Harmonized Scholarship Process.
Applicants who indicate Iranian citizenship in their Harmonized Scholarship application will be automatically entered into the competition for this award.
