The Western Union Foundation Global Scholarship Program, often known as WU Scholars, is a programme that assists young people in their pursuit of a post-secondary education.
On behalf of the Western Union Foundation and its supporters, the Institute of International Education, Inc. (IIE), a US private not-for-profit leader in the international exchange of people and ideas, runs the initiative.

Eligibility
The applicant must be enrolled in an undergraduate programme at a recognised post-secondary school.
You must be between the ages of 18 and 26.
Applicant must have been accepted or have applied for admission to an accredited post-secondary institution.
The scholarship programme is not open to immediate family members of controlling officers at Western Union, its affiliates and non-affiliated nonprofit entities, or its Agents.
All other employees and their families who meet the other qualifications are eligible to apply.
Application Process
LOR- Student must provide a letter of recommendation from a teacher or professor. If a teacher or professor is unable to submit a recommendation on students behalf, they can use someone who has supervised them in a youth/community group, volunteer position, job/employment situation, etc
