Scholarship amount details

Available to applicants who have applied and been given a place to study at the University for the first time in September 2022 and are classified as international for fee purposes. The prizes range in value from £500 to £4000.

Eligibility

OSPAP, Pre-sessional English, Research, HIC, and online courses are not available.
These may be awarded on a case-by-case basis on any of the following courses at the University's discretion.
Applicants who do not register for the September 2022 intake will not be able to transfer the scholarship to subsequent admissions (unless agreed by the University).
Only available during the first year of university enrollment - not in later years.
Only for taught applications at the undergraduate or graduate level; not for facilities or research.
Only new students — not UH or HIC alumni – are eligible for this scholarship.
Other scholarships, such as the Early Bird Discount, the 20% Herts Graduate Discount, the Malaysian Partner Discount, or the UG Tri Annual Scholarship, cannot be combined with the International Chancellor's Scholarship.

Application Process

In order to be eligible for the scholarship, applicants must have applied to the university and been accepted.
The scholarship will be applied as a deduction from tuition costs, not from the deposit amount, once applicants have registered at the University. It can be used for university housing (but not for the £150 accommodation deposit, which is a refundable deposit) if they have paid their tuition fees in full.
