Scholarship amount details

  • Each scholarship is worth £4,000 for international students and £2,000 for UK/ Republic of Ireland students (whose tuition fees are normally lower).
  • Scholarships are given in the form of a tuition fee reduction, and your tuition fees are guaranteed once you've been accepted.

Eligibility

  • The Master's Scholarships Scheme at the University of Reading offers two financing options:
  • Centenary Scholarships — To commemorate the University's forthcoming 100th anniversary of its Royal Charter, the University is providing 100 scholarships to master's students. These prizes have been assigned to specific countries.
  • Subject Scholarships — Most of our Schools provide these rewards, which are course–specific. Both this award and the Centenary Scholarship are available to students.
  • One or both of these scholarships may be granted to successful candidates.

Application Process

  • To apply for funding, a candidate must have received an offer of admission to one our master’s courses. The scholarship application form will be made available to eligible students via the me@reading applicant portal, and will be accessible up until the closing date.
  • Where a candidate is eligible for both a Centenary Scholarship and Subject Scholarship, it is only necessary to complete one application – you will be considered for both awards and it is possible to be selected for both, doubling the amount of funding that we are providing.
