Scholarship amount details
- Students entering their first year of university would be awarded $5,000.
Eligibility
- The student must be an Indian student studying in Canada on a study permit and starting the first year of an undergraduate degree programme at the University of Alberta.
- Selection would be based on academic performance in high school.
- When starting their undergraduate degree at the University of Alberta, students must have graduated from an Indian high school with less than 24 IB, AP, or A-Level credits.
Application Process
- The University of Alberta does NOT have any separate application form for India First Year Excellence Scholarship.
- Indian students admitted to a UG program at the University of Alberta will be automatically considered for the scholarship program.
- Prospective students seeking financial aid through this scholarship program or any UAlberta Scholarship are advised to submit their admission applications as early as possible.
