• The Putnam UMass Scholars Program is awarded to academically outstanding students. This scholarship is awarded by the University of Massachusetts (UMass) to provide recognition and financial assistance to a sophomore, junior, or senior level student.
• Established by alumni of UMass who work at Putnam Investments, this scholarship is applicable for Bachelors’ Degree and is available for all applicants currently pursuing undergraduate courses at the UMass campuses.

• Be a full-time student at one of the sponsoring UMass campuses: Amherst, Boston, Dartmouth, or Lowell are all good options.
• To be a matriculated undergraduate student, you must meet the following requirements: Whether you're a first-year student, a sophomore, or a;
• Have at least a 3.0 GPA overall

Your online application should include the following information:

• Transcript of a Resume (unofficial is acceptable)
• Your specified recommender must upload one letter of recommendation (optional)
• One Paper: To introduce yourself to the scholarship committee, please write a personal statement. Include (1) your personal traits; leadership experience you have had in any area of your life, such as school, work, athletics, family, volunteering, community; difficulties you may have conquered; or other relevant facts; and (2) 
• Your personal and career aspirations. A total of 500 words is allowed.
