• An award of up to $1,000 is given annually to a worthy undergraduate student enrolled in any programme in the Faculty of Engineering who has shown a new direction in her or his academic endeavours as reflected by a term average increase from 2B to 3A.
•  Professor Tribhuvan Prasad (1924-1993), who loved teaching and helped many students attain their full potential, is honoured with this award. 
• Scholar T. Prasad's family, friends, students, and coworkers have generously contributed to this fund in honour of an extraordinary teacher and distinguished professor.

• Student must be enrolled in 2nd or 3rd year in Bachelor degree in Engineering program
• Must show her/his academic efforts by demonstrating an increase in term average from 2B to 3A
