About the Scholarship

  • Basic research that produces new knowledge based on the student's ability to analyze, synthesize, select a hypothesis, and test its validity, or applied research that leads to an alternative solution to a problem based on the student's ability to analyze, synthesize, design, produce, or simulate a product or model, will be supported by a faculty mentor. 
  • Both fundamental and applied research projects will do a literature review, choose acceptable research methods, draw a conclusion about the worth of their work, give evidence to support that judgement, and show or disseminate their findings for public scrutiny.

Scholarship amount details

  • Project money will be limited to $1000, and students will be reimbursed for project materials, supplies, travel, and other non-salary expenses incurred in the completion of their planned project. 
  • Students must submit a reimbursement request to their project's academic mentor, who must accept it. 
  • All reimbursements must adhere to all LTU purchasing and reimbursement policies. 
  • LTU's Business Service Department can provide current reimbursement policies and specifics.
  • Students receive in-depth training in the dynamic field of graphic design through the approved Bachelor of Fine Arts in Graphic Design degree at LTU, covering everything from print media to the most recent developments in interactive and time-based media.
  • The curriculum invites students to investigate the relationship between inquisitiveness, creativity, and practical making.
    Students create an investigative body of work that focuses on their unique interests within the discipline for their thesis project, which serves as the program's capstone. 
  • Students are further equipped with the knowledge, skills, and experiences necessary for professional practice through internship possibilities.
