Scholarship amount details

  • Each President's scholar will receive £1,000 for each undergraduate year of study (for a maximum of four years).

Eligibility

  • Bachelor's degree: Applicants must have received a 90 per cent total score in five courses from CISCE-ISC or CBSE-AISSE, with a score of 90/95 per cent in relevant disciplines.
  • Required subjects include:
    • Chemistry, Math, and one additional acceptable subject are required for a BSc in Chemistry (preferred subjects are Biology, Economics or Physics)
    • Chemistry and another science course (Biology is encouraged but not required) or mathematics are required for a BSc in Biotechnology.
      BSc Physics (Physics and Mathematics)
    • Materials Engineering BEng Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry are among the sciences and engineering disciplines.
    • BEng Electronic and Information Engineering: Mathematics and Physics, plus a third subject of your choice, though an additional mathematics subject is preferred.
    • BEng Computer Science: Math
    • Excellent results in the JEE for Engineering subjects
  • English language proficiency requirements
    • IELTS: 6.5 overall, with a minimum of 6.0 in each element
    • PTE: 62, with a minimum of 56 in each of the elements
  • All applicants must attend an interview

  • Academic departments are responsible for nominating scholarship candidates as part of the admission process; hence there is no formal application process or separate application form for the President's Undergraduate Scholarship scheme
  • The scholarships are wholly sponsored by philanthropic gifts from the College's dedicated alumni and supporters
  • Your prospective department will evaluate your academic merit and potential using your UCAS application, references, and any entry tests or interviews related to your department
