Eligibility
- Your admission average will be calculated based on your top six Grade 12 courses or equivalents, including all required courses for the program(s) to which you've applied, and will be accessible in early May.
- If you receive an Offer of Admission to more than one degree, your admission average may qualify you for a President's or Merit Scholarship in one program but not in another. This is because your admission average must contain necessary courses, which vary by program.
- You will be awarded a President's or Merit Scholarship if your early May admission average is less than 85% but your final acceptance average is 85% or better.
- You will be notified after we receive the final scores in July.
Application Process
- If you qualify, information on scholarships will be included with your Quest Offer of Admission.
- If you earn a scholarship before May, you must fulfill all of the following requirements. We'll confirm your University of Waterloo President's or Merit Scholarship once we've examined your grades, which will be available in early May.
- In Quest, you'll be able to see the scholarship information.
- University will have previously assessed your grades accessible in early May if you receive your scholarship offer in May. You must still meet all of the other requirements outlined above.
