• Through the awarding of Ontario Graduate Scholarships, the Ontario government, in collaboration with Ontario's publicly supported universities, fosters excellence in graduate study at the Master's and doctorate levels (OGS)

• The number of terms of your consecutive studies within an academic year determines your OGS award:
• $10,000 for two terms of study in a row
• $15,000 for three terms of studies

• The OGS is a merit-based award. Your application is evaluated and rated according to criteria set by the school you intend to attend.
• You must also meet the following requirements to be considered:
• You'll be pursuing a master's or doctorate degree in graduate study.
• For the academic year in which you're applying, you'll be enrolled in a full-time program for two or more terms (a total of 21 to 52 weeks).

• Use the OGS application provided by your institution. They usually become available around October.
• If you're applying to multiple graduate program at different schools, you'll need to fill out an OGS application for each one.
