Scholarship amount details
- The University will pay 10% of the self-funded part of tuition costs (the net sum after all other financial awards). The bursary will not be paid during the overtime (writing-up) period for research degree students, taught students retaking exams, or student visitors registering for miscellaneous study.
- The alumni bursary can be combined with other University of Leeds scholarships and awards; the 10% bursary is determined on the net fee remaining after all other scholarships and awards are removed.
Eligibility
- Have completed an undergraduate or postgraduate degree at the University of Leeds, including incoming study abroad students. The tiny number of past courses that are not eligible for the alumni bursary can be found in the area further down this page.
- At least a portion of your tuition payments should be self-funded. If you get financial assistance from a friend or relative, or if you receive a postgraduate loan from the UK government, you are considered self-funding.
