About the Scholarship
- A full-time international graduate student enrolling in the Ph.D. program at the Faculty of Engineering will receive a scholarship worth up to $1,700 each year.
- Selection is based on the student's Fall term activity report evaluation and academic performance (minimum 80% cumulative average) in their current program.
- Each year, nominees for this prize will come from the engineering faculty's many departments.
- Several people have contributed to this fund in memory of the Waterloo Engineering students and graduates who perished in the crash of Ukraine International Flight PS752.

Scholarship amount details
- A full-time international graduate student enrolled in the Faculty of Engineering's PhD programme will get a stipend worth up to $1,700 each year.
Eligibility
- International graduate students enrolled in a Ph.D. program at the Faculty of Engineering on a full-time basis.
- Academic excellence (minimum 80 percent cumulative average) and an evaluation of the student's Fall term activity report will be used to make the decision.
- The award might be given in addition to the minimum financing needed and in conjunction with other significant prizes.
- Based on term activity report submissions, each department in the Faculty of Engineering will identify and nominate their top two candidates.
- Nominations must be received by a date set by the Faculty of Engineering each year.
- Each Winter, the Graduate Studies Office of the Faculty of Engineering will choose awardees.
- The award will be paid out in one lump sum.
