The Global Scholarship brings a Kent State education "A Whole Lot Closer than You Think!" to international students who wish to study in the United States.

Kent State launched the Global Scholarship in January 2018 because it supports diversity among its student body and wants to attract more high-quality international students to its campuses. All incoming international undergraduate degree-seeking students who have been admitted to Kent State are eligible for the Global Scholarship.

The Global Scholarship reduces the cost of a Kent State 4-year undergraduate degree by up to $16,000 a year ($2,000 per semester) for eligible students.

A new international UNDERGRADUATE student
The Global Scholarship is open to freshmen, transfers, ESL students, and visiting students.
Students who have just graduated or who are currently enrolled are not eligible.
Only those with a F visa are eligible.
The Global Scholarship is not available to in-state students.
The Global Scholarship is only available to students who attend the Kent campus.

Upon acceptance to the university, students will be automatically considered for the scholarship.
