Scholarship amount details

Approximately ten scholarships, ranging in value from $12,000 to $25,000, are offered to prospective undergraduate students enrolled in any programme in the Faculty of Mathematics over the course of eight academic terms (excluding Software Engineering and Computing and Financial Management). These scholarships are exclusively available to overseas students with a study permission. Payments after the first year are contingent on the student maintaining an overall academic average of 80% or higher and continuous enrollment in an approved programme. . Student government, athletics, music, art, and other extracurricular activities are all taken into account. Candidates must apply by early-February and obtain application forms from the Faculty of Mathematics website.

Eligibility

  • As measured by the National/Global Scholarship application, academic performance and extracurricular engagement
  • The ideal candidate will have a strong academic record, particularly in mathematics, as well as a track record of success in math and/or computer science competitions throughout high school.
  • Candidates will also be expected to demonstrate an interest in mathematics or computer science beyond the usual course requirements, such as active engagement in math or computer science organizations, enhanced mathematics studies, work/volunteer experiences, or hobbies.
