About the Scholarship
- On the basis of scholastic performance and evidence of research promise, as demonstrated by publications and letters of reference, the prize is given yearly to full-time graduate students enrolled in the David R.
- Cheriton School of Computer Science in the Faculty of Mathematics. This fund is made possible by donations from Derick Wood's family, friends, and coworkers.

Scholarship amount details
- A scholarship valued at $2,000 - $10,000 awarded annually
Eligibility
- PhD students and students whose research field is Algorithms and Complexity will be given priority.
- It is renewable, and it is available to both Canadian and international students with a valid student visa.

- Faculty/Department selects students automatically.
- Students will be auto-considered for this scholarship when they apply for the courses on which this scholarship is applicable. No separate application is needed.
