About the Scholarship

  • Several scholarships from $5,000 to $20,000 are available each year to graduate students enrolled full-time in the Master of Business and Entrepreneurship and Technology (MBET) program at the University of Waterloo's Conrad Business, Entrepreneurship, and Technology Centre in the Faculty of Engineering.
  • Citizens of Canada or permanent residents will be given preference. But extraordinary overseas applications might also be taken into account. A departmental committee will choose applicants based on their aptitude for business, the strength of their business plan, and their track record of academic success.
  •  For information on deadlines, prospective students should visit the Conrad website. The Conrad family donated money in order to provide these scholarships.

Scholarship amount details

The awards range in value from $5,000 to $20,000 per.

Eligibility

  • Full-time graduate students enrolled in the Conrad Business, Entrepreneurship, and Technology Centre in the Faculty of Engineering's Master of Business and Entrepreneurship and Technology (MBET) programme.
  • Domestic applications, as well as those from Canadian citizens or permanent residents, will be given priority. International applicants with exceptional qualifications may also be considered.
  • The minimum criteria for establishing eligibility will be the MBET admission requirements.
  • Applicants who are accepted into the MBET programme will be requested to apply for the scholarship by submitting a mini business plan, and they may be required to present their strategy.
  • A panel of faculty will select recipients based on the applicant's entrepreneurial orientation, the quality of the business proposal, and academic record of performance.
  • The following academic year's selection will be made in the spring semester.

Application Process

There is no requirement for a document.

Students that are accepted into MBET will be invited to apply for the Conrad Family Scholarships by submitting a mini-business plan.
