Scholarship amount details

Your grant includes the following since Chevening Scholarships are fully funded:

  • The cost of attending university
  • A monthly honorarium for travel to and from the United Kingdom
  • A refundable deposit
  • A stipend for returning home
  • A travel grant to attend Chevening events in the UK the cost of one visa application

Eligibility

  • Applicants must show leadership potential and financial need in order to attend the University of Cambridge.
  • To be eligible for Chevening, you must be a citizen of a Chevening-qualified country or territory.
  • After your award has finished, you must return to your home country for a minimum of two years.
  • By the time you submit your application, you should have completed all components of an undergraduate degree that will allow you to enroll in a postgraduate programme at a UK university. 
  • In the United Kingdom, this is normally equivalent to an upper second-class 2:1 honours degree, but it may differ based on your study and university of choice.
  • Have at least two years of work experience (equal to 2,800 hours).
