About the Scholarship
- Female graduate students enrolled full-time in a Master's or Doctoral programme in the Faculty of Mathematics will receive a grant of at least $1,200 each year, depending on demonstrated academic excellence (normally 80 percent cumulative average in their current program).
- Students majoring in computer science will be given priority. David Ash, BMath '87, established this fund to encourage a future female generation of graduate students and researchers.

Scholarship amount details
- The goal is to grant at least one award worth CAD 1,200AD per year, however, the amount and/or the number of awards may vary from year to year. While the endowment grows, the donor will provide a $2,000 reward to support the award.
- The Fall 2017 award will be $5,000 thanks to an additional donation from a donor.
