The annual income generated by the fund will decide the value of the Award. The goal is to award a joint scholarship of up to $20,000 in value. The endowment will contribute $5,000, which will be matched 2:1 ($10,000) by money from the Ontario Graduate Scholarships (OGS) or the Queen Elizabeth II Graduate Scholarship in Science and Technology (QEII-GSST). The University of Waterloo will add $5,000 to the award. This is in addition to the necessary funding.
The recipient must be a full-time graduate student who has been admitted into the Department of Mechanical and Mechatronics Engineering's Graduate programme and has been awarded an Ontario Graduate Scholarship (OGS) or Queen Elizabeth II Graduate Scholarship in Science and Technology (QEII-GSST).
