So, the place that I visited was Club Mahindra Resort in Kerala. I was in 7th grade at that time, which was around 6 to 7 years ago. It was a family trip. I had been there with my mom, dad, my uncle, aunt and my two cousins. So what I felt was very close to the nature. It was a very serene environment, which made me feel at peace. I could enjoy delicious delicacies like the ghee roast prawns, which was one of the best things I have tasted in life. I experienced luxury for the first time over there. To emphasize on that, I'll tell you, our hotel room had a Jacuzzi nestled in the balcony, which overlooked the beautiful vast ocean. We also had a bathtub, a fancy shower, wooden flooring, a heated blanket. All that just made my trip wonderful. It was quite a luxurious trip and very close to nature, which I absolutely loved. It was a wonderful and marvelous experience. That is all I have to say.

It was the end of January when our school announced that we had an excursion planned to Kerala for five days. I've never been to Kerala and I was extremely excited to visit. I prepared so much learning about the culture, food, clothing and traditions. When we reached Kerala, I was excited to try the appam because that seemed so fascinating how they prepared it from rice flour. Also, the fish fries were delicious. When I was a kid, I had a little pencil box which had these four buttons which gave the pencil box an operative use. When you press the button, the box would open up. When you press the second button, a little part of it would slide out. Basically it was just a little electronical and a fun thing to have and I owned it when I was in 6th. One day after break, I was standing and talking there with one of my friends and another friend of mine was running through the hallway and accidentally she pushed my shoulder and my pencil box hit the ground and it broke into multiple pieces to the point that it was not functional anymore.

Answer

It Ends With Us is a book I read recently. It's by the author Colleen Hoare. It's mainly a story about two teenagers, Atlas and Lily, and how they just handle their life going through high school, adolescence, and just domestic violence at home. Both of them come from very, very different families. However, they have one common determining factor between them, which is domestic violence. The abuse that they've seen their moms go through is just insane, and they connect through that on a different level. They're actually in the same high school, but they never speak to each other until Atlas actually crashes into an empty house next to Lily's villa. When Atlas is homeless and he doesn't have anywhere to go, he just comes and breaks into the house next to Lily's, and Lily helps him with all the daily necessities like clothes and food, medicines and stuff. Furthermore, their friendship blossoms into love, but it doesn't really fructify as Atlas has to leave. This book really gave me a lot of knowledge about domestic abuse and how to deal with it.

So, I have been travelling since I was a child with my father. My father visited a lot of places because of his work. So with him I have travelled a lot of places luckily. But I would like to highlight one place that I travelled when I was very young. The place is called Nainital. It's a really beautiful hill station in the mountains of Himalayas. So I was very young as I said, I was only 11 years old. And I went to that place by a train. So it is also one of the train rides that I liked the most because I was really young at that time. And I liked sitting, I remember that I liked sitting near the window and watched the places as the train passed by. So when we reached Nainital, the hills were beautiful. And Nainital, since it's a hill station, it had a really pleasant weather. It was cold in summer which is unusual for me because I live in a place where summers are very hot compared to Nainital. So I actually liked Nainital a lot. There are a lot of beautiful places in Nainital to spend your time. Places such as Jim Corbett National Park. It is a park where I was a child, I didn't know much about it. That there are national parks in which it's not like a zoo, the animals are not within a cage. So it was a very unique experience for me at that point of time. There's also a very beautiful lake in Nainital which is known as Nanojheel. It goes after the name of the town. It's a very huge and a very deep lake, middle of the town. So I remember putting my hands inside the water while I was boat riding in that lake.

Follow up questions

What other places have you visited with your father?
I have visited several places with my father, including Delhi, Agra, and Shimla. Each place had its own unique charm, but Nainital stands out for its natural beauty and serene environment. I remember exploring the local culture and trying different foods during those trips.

How did the experience of visiting Nainital impact you?
Visiting Nainital had a significant impact on me as a child. It sparked my love for nature and travel. The beauty of the hills and the tranquility of the lake made me appreciate the outdoors more. It also made me curious about different cultures and environments, which I carry with me today.

Would you like to visit Nainital again? Why?
Yes, I would love to visit Nainital again. I want to experience the beauty of the place as an adult and explore it more deeply. I also wish to share this experience with my friends and family, showing them the stunning landscapes and the unique wildlife of the region.

Recently I had gone on my first international trip that I was planning from so many years. I had gone to Paris, it was my first Europe trip. I went to Paris and then followed by Amsterdam. The place was just beautiful, the culture, the diversity and the people were just to themselves which is just great. I felt so confident walking on the streets. In Amsterdam I saw such cute cafes in and around. It just makes me feel so happy when thinking about that trip. I went with one of my best friends. We had always planned to go on this trip and we finally made it happen because it usually is very difficult to get that visa done but somehow we made it happen and it was one of the best things, best trip that I have gone to and it is more important for me to understand right now is that traveling is something that makes me so happy. So I am going to continue doing that and coming back to the topic. The most recent trip I have been to is my Europe trip. I went in the month of May 2024. It was on 4th of May. I took the Vistara airline which is no more but going to Paris and seeing Eiffel Tower was my forever dream and I'm very glad that that was my first international trip. I went with one of my friend. I have been planning this trip from such a long time. I finally made it happen. It was a 10-day trip. The first day we visited Paris and saw the most iconic Eiffel Tower. The smile that got me standing in front of Eiffel Tower was the best thing in the world. We stayed there for four to five days. The hotels were really small and narrow. However, the cafes and the buildings were so aesthetic and so pure. After that, from Paris we took a bus to Amsterdam and we stayed there for three days. We stayed in a capsule hotel. We went to multiple museums, art museums, cafes and we tried out a lot of food. The food has to be the most amazing thing that we have tried there. The best part about the trip was how the days are more and the night is very less. The Sun doesn't set till 9.30-10 in the night so it gave us more time to explore the city. In Amsterdam, I remember renting a bicycle and going around the town and understanding the culture, going on the boat trip, taking the ferry from one place to the other place. It was all very beautiful. After we finished the Amsterdam trip, we flew back to Paris.

Follow up questions

What was your favorite memory from the trip?
My favorite memory was standing in front of the Eiffel Tower. The joy I felt was indescribable, and it was a dream come true. I also loved exploring the cute cafes in Amsterdam and the vibrant atmosphere of the city.

How did you prepare for your trip to Europe?
I spent a lot of time planning the itinerary and researching places to visit. Getting the visa was challenging, but I made sure to gather all the necessary documents. I also saved money for the trip and made a list of must-try foods and experiences.

Would you like to visit more places in Europe?
Absolutely! This trip ignited my passion for travel. I would love to explore more European cities like Rome, Barcelona, and London. Each place has its own unique culture and history, and I want to experience them all.
