When I was a kid, I had a little pencil box which had these four buttons which gave the pencil box an operative use. When you press the button, the box would open up. When you press the second button, a little part of it would slide out. Basically it was just a little electronical and a fun thing to have and I owned it when I was in 6th. One day after break, I was standing and talking there with one of my friends and another friend of mine was running through the hallway and accidentally she pushed my shoulder and my pencil box hit the ground and it broke into multiple pieces to the point that it was not functional anymore.

It Ends With Us is a book I read recently. It's by the author Colleen Hoare. It's mainly a story about two teenagers, Atlas and Lily, and how they just handle their life going through high school, adolescence, and just domestic violence at home. Both of them come from very, very different families. However, they have one common determining factor between them, which is domestic violence. The abuse that they've seen their moms go through is just insane, and they connect through that on a different level. They're actually in the same high school, but they never speak to each other until Atlas actually crashes into an empty house next to Lily's villa. When Atlas is homeless and he doesn't have anywhere to go, he just comes and breaks into the house next to Lily's, and Lily helps him with all the daily necessities like clothes and food, medicines and stuff. Furthermore, their friendship blossoms into love, but it doesn't really fructify as Atlas has to leave. This book really gave me a lot of knowledge about domestic abuse and how to deal with it.

A crop that I'm familiar with is a rice crop. I became familiar with the rice crop because I've been eating it since I was a child. I saw rice crop or rice plantations when I was a kid and I went on a family vacation to Kerala. There I saw that like for me planting of crops was done in the soil, we used to pour water and everything. So this is something that we learned in school. But for me rice plantation was something very new because they were planting the seeds or the rice plantation is done in a certain level of water. The plantation is covered in water. So yeah, I saw that there and it was very inquisitive. I became very inquisitive after I saw like rice plantation because this was something very different for me. I loved watching rice grow. I saw that the people were half submerged in water and they were planting something and my parents told me that they are planting rice. I love eating rice. Yeah, I love that crop. And yeah, something I don't like about rice plantation is like there should be some machine or some technology to get the rice out because when they have to plant, they are putting the water right away. So that's safe at that time. But afterwards when they have to take the rice out, the water is stagnant. And when the water is stagnant, it leads to breeding of mosquitoes and everything. And also when they're taking out the rice, the water being stagnant, there can be snakes or you know, we know the water sewage system and everything. So in India, it's like the people that have to, the farmers that have to get into the water to take out the plantation. I feel that's very unsafe for them because they have to go inside and something can bite them. But yeah, like that's what their job is. So we can't help it. But yeah, I mean, we are getting so modernized and every day some new technology is being developed so we can do that.

The crop that I am familiar with is of course rice plant that is because my father, his father and so they have been growing the rice plant from several years. We have a large agricultural land in my hometown and there twice a year they grow this rice plant and several people come for helping to harvest this crop and the reason why I like this plant is because it is our pride because rice production is the most from India in the entire world. So it is our pride to know that we are also growing this paddy and of course what I dislike the most about this crop harvesting is the steps that are taken. It usually takes a lot of time and people literally burn under the sun in harvesting this crop and also I know the basics of doing this harvesting most of all the steps.

I am familiar with many crops but I would like to talk about one special one that I am very much acquainted with is the wheat crop. It is the crop that is sown in the month of November. You have to plug the field in the first place and then spread the seeds. In addition to this you have to irrigate it time to time, you will have to irrigate it almost after 15 days till it reaches to the month of January or February. How do I know about this? I belong to a family of farmers so I have seen this process thoroughly. I have been part of this process for quite some time. Furthermore most of the population in India depends upon the wheat flour to make the bread out of it. The one part that I like about this crop is that I can grow this in a very small area but the cons of this is that it creates a lot of dust during the time of harvesting. It is really important to my country as it had helped India to become the self-reliant country in terms of nutrient sufficiency. Before that we used to import the crops from the USA and Britain and we have faced several disparities during this import and had to pay a little extra.

The crop I'm familiar with is paddy or rice. Well, India stands as a larger producer for this type of crop. Actually, rice is the kind of crop which is commonly used throughout the Asian countries. And as an Indian, I have a liking towards rice because it has a larger variety of dishes which you can make out of it and also different ways of consuming it. And also, it's an easy way to make it. It's a cheap crop and you can also buy it with a cheaper amount. And also, India being the larger producer, in every household, rice is the primary source of food. And rice is also consumed with some kind of sauces like sambar, chutney and many others. In other countries, rice is consumed as sushi or fried rice and also many kinds of stuff. And many varieties are also existing. As an Indian, rice is the primary food and it's so important to our country because it is the primary protein producer for our country.
