Show all 11 answers

Cue 1:What the event was

  • Begin by clearly stating the event you attended, such as a wedding, concert, or festival.
  • Mention any relevant details about the occasion that set the context for your experience.

Example

Last year, I attended my cousin's wedding in Jaipur. It was a grand celebration with many guests and vibrant decorations, which made it a memorable event.

Cue 2:Where you were

  • Describe the location of the event, including any notable features of the venue.
  • Share how the setting contributed to your overall experience.

Example

The wedding took place in a beautiful palace hotel, surrounded by lush gardens. The atmosphere was festive, and everyone was excited to celebrate the couple's union.

Cue 3:What the music was like

  • Explain the type of music that was played during the event, mentioning specific genres or artists if possible.
  • Share your initial reactions to the music and how it fit the event.

Example

Unfortunately, the music played during the wedding was primarily loud DJ mixes of popular Bollywood songs. While some guests enjoyed dancing, I found the beats overwhelming and not suitable for a wedding atmosphere.

Cue 4:And explain why you didn’t like the music

  • Discuss your personal preferences regarding music and how they differ from what was played.
  • Explain how the music affected your enjoyment of the event.

Example

I didn’t like the music because I prefer softer, melodious songs that create a romantic ambiance, especially at weddings. The loudness made it difficult to have conversations, and I felt it took away from the emotional significance of the occasion.

Conclusion

    Example

In conclusion, while the wedding was a joyous occasion filled with love and laughter, the choice of music did not resonate with me. It reminded me that music plays a crucial role in setting the mood for any event, and sometimes, it can make or break the experience.

When I was a kid, I had a little pencil box which had these four buttons which gave the pencil box an operative use. When you press the button, the box would open up. When you press the second button, a little part of it would slide out. Basically it was just a little electronical and a fun thing to have and I owned it when I was in 6th. One day after break, I was standing and talking there with one of my friends and another friend of mine was running through the hallway and accidentally she pushed my shoulder and my pencil box hit the ground and it broke into multiple pieces to the point that it was not functional anymore.

It Ends With Us is a book I read recently. It's by the author Colleen Hoare. It's mainly a story about two teenagers, Atlas and Lily, and how they just handle their life going through high school, adolescence, and just domestic violence at home. Both of them come from very, very different families. However, they have one common determining factor between them, which is domestic violence. The abuse that they've seen their moms go through is just insane, and they connect through that on a different level. They're actually in the same high school, but they never speak to each other until Atlas actually crashes into an empty house next to Lily's villa. When Atlas is homeless and he doesn't have anywhere to go, he just comes and breaks into the house next to Lily's, and Lily helps him with all the daily necessities like clothes and food, medicines and stuff. Furthermore, their friendship blossoms into love, but it doesn't really fructify as Atlas has to leave. This book really gave me a lot of knowledge about domestic abuse and how to deal with it.

I have recently went to my sister's friend's Sangeet ceremony. Sangeet is usually an event which is more like we can just go and dance and eat and play some games with the bride and grooms. So it is basically in get-together before the wedding and everybody are just chilling and dancing. So I think it was doll and because of their music test maybe or the DJ who was invited for playing the music he has no taste of music. In Sangeet we often play old valued classic musics like pop songs and also Punjabi songs or Bihari songs because it brings good vibes to the event and these songs are really really in trend for dancing and it was like sad songs. They were just eating and talking no one was dancing because the theme didn't match the songs and I think it was quite a waste of money to bring such DJs and not dancing on your special events. So it was a really bad experience for me.

Today I want to talk about a golden jubilee of TCP Ladakh, which I have attended. It's on September 2025 and the school has invited a lot of spiritual leaders and high-level politicians. And the event is well managed and we have a lot of fun there. Moreover, the school has a lot of children performing different kind of traditional as well as the modern dance. But among them, I didn't like the song they played during the event. It's a very bad song for me because the lyrics have a lot of disturbing words. And I think they should not play the music because there are a lot of children below the age of 10 who might get the song interesting and they later might listen to them. And the lyrics of this song is very inappropriate for children.

Back in 2020, I attended a birthday party of one of my friends in Srinagar. I really liked the overall vibe and the decoration and lighting they had put on. But I didn't like the music that was playing around because I am not fond of pop music. Rather, I prefer smooth melodies. So that was the reason that I didn't like the music. But overall, it was good.

I would like to talk about a party I have attended a couple of years ago. It was a DJ party at our college fest conducted on the previous day of annual day. The party initially associated with the team members and the students that the music will be played based on student interest. But they didn't quite agree with it. But lastly, they have agreed on the point. However, me and my friends were gathered around the venue, that is the football ground in our college. We expected the DJ to be playing jazz and Bollywood songs. But instead, quite opposite to our expectation, they played very normal melodies from 90s. That was absolutely not what they have said. And we couldn't enjoy much like we expected. So we had this plans in our mind more than ever to dance as it was our final days of our college before our final exams. However, it didn't end up quite well. And we had to file a complaint against the organizers regarding the event management team.

I went to my cousin's wedding with my family. We were going together in a car. They were playing, my nieces and cousins were playing music. They played the music in a genre which I didn't like. I used to hear pop and R&B, like I'm into that kind of music. When they were into Indian pop, the music was really really loud. I hated it and when I told them to change it, they didn't care. They said, you are the only one who didn't like the music, so shut up and listen to it. They said that. I hated it, so I started hearing music on my own in Spotify. It is a major problem here. They don't care about what I want to listen or what I like to listen. Everyone here wanted me to do what they like. Moreover, it's the same, I guess.

A few days back, I have attended a music festival for the new generation, so it was in Versailles. We went there by Olaf Cab. After reaching there, it was very loud and noisy. The lyrics and the music were very harsh and it was not very subtle, I can say. Mostly, I prefer the music and the songs from the 90s or early 2000s. But those songs had deep meaning to the lyrics. The songs were more meaningful and it had a deeper meaning to it. But eventually, the quality of music has decreased. No, I don't know. I didn't enjoy the music. It was more of a vulgar language.

    Band 5-6

Well, usually I don't listen to music a lot, but the recent concert which I went to was on the Coldplay, which was related to Coldplay. So in that one, I basically went from Bangalore all the way to Mumbai. And the distance from Bangalore to Mumbai was around 800 kilometers plus. So I had to go by train because that was the cheapest mode of transport at that particular time. So I went by that and I attended the concert with a lot of difficulty by arranging a room for accommodation and also arranging a rickshaw or any other car or something like that for my day travel to the concert. And after reaching the concert, it was overall a good experience, I would say, but I expected it to be much more than what I actually assumed it to be. And this concert was basically in Mumbai at the year of 2025. And I got the tickets with a lot of difficulty from BookMyShow. And there was a lot of demand, as you might also know about the concert of the Coldplay's How It Bees. And also I visited for this on the weekends when I had a holiday at that time. Moreover, I also like this concert because of the way Chris and he enjoys it a lot. And it is like more of a pop type of song and it is considered to be one of the most famous thing. And the main part what I did not like about this was the vibe was not matching. People generally came over here and just like they wanted to.

I attended an event of my friend. The event was a farewell party for him as he was going out of the country for the further studies. The party was for my friend. The music was very slow and very sleepy. The music must be a high pitch music that gives you enthusiasm to dance and to celebrate the party but the music was like romantic and a slow vibe music that feels like sleep to make everyone sleepy and I was in the party at the party house itself. The music was very slow and very un-loudful that was making everyone uncomfortable according to the party. The party was for the farewell party and every bachelor were there so the party must be a very cheerful and very joyful that makes everyone laugh and make everyone dance but the music was very slow and low pitch that was making the party very dull and very common like a sad music like if it was a party of boredom.

So basically the event was graduation and it was at my school and my graduation was 3 years ago and the songs which were playing there were only English and I don't really like English songs I love to hear Punjabi music and Hindi songs so every song which was played there was English only and it wasn't that much interesting so I think that was the worst music event I could ever say so yeah that wasn't good and I wasn't enjoying because when I hear Punjabi music I vibe a lot and I love to vibe on Punjabi and Hindi songs so yes that was not really good and for example if there is a party and Punjabi songs are being played there then I will vibe a lot on those songs because actually I am a Punjabi by my caste so from childhood I am listening Punjabi songs only and I am not at all interested in any other songs so yeah I love to hear Punjabi songs a lot and wherever I go I listen to Punjabi music only so why I like Punjabi music is it gives me vibe it gives me power power energetic it feels very energetic when I hear that kind of music so I would always prefer Punjabi music over English songs and all so yeah that's it thank you so much
