Eligibility

Your application will not be accepted unless you can demonstrate that you have a sufficient command of both written and spoken English to be successful in University courses taught solely in English. To be considered for admission, any student whose first language is not English must take this test.

The UND Institution Code is 6878.

The following are the minimum test scores required for undergraduate studies:

TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language): 525 (paper-based - PBT); 195 (computer-based - CBT); 71 (computer-based - CBT) (Internet based- iBT). Test results must be reported to the University of North Dakota's Undergraduate Admissions Office.
6.0 on the IELTS (International English Language Testing System). IELTS scores must have been taken within the last three years to be accepted by UND.

You'll need to retake the test if your IELTS results are older than two years.

Or, if you complete ELS Language Centers' Intensive Level 112, the College Entrance Exam Board will provide you a certificate.
