Founded in 1933, Monroe College is a private college in New York City, USA. The institution has three main campuses situated in New Rochelle, Saint Lucia and The Bronx, along with an additional site in Manhattan. With an acceptance rate of nearly 52.2%, Monroe College is among the top 100 universities in the country. Monroe College has accreditation from the Middle States Commission on Higher Education and is appreciated for social mobility.
Comprising eight schools offering 25 undergraduate, ten postgraduate, several associate degrees and several certificate courses. Business Administration, Management, Marketing, Health Sciences, Nursing, Homeland Security, Law, Firefighting, Protective Services, Computer Science, Information Technology and Personal and Culinary Services are some popular courses provided. Applications through the official website are to be filled for intake into the Fall and Spring semesters.
Academic transcripts, LORs, essays, CV and scores of English Language Proficiency tests, SAT, ACT etc., should also be submitted, and an application fee of 35 USD for undergraduate and 50 USD for postgraduate applicants. The average undergraduate tuition fee is 15,860 USD, whereas that for doctoral programs is 16,275 USD, and international students are awarded various merit-based scholarships to provide financial aid.
On-campus accommodation is provided in Gaddy Hall and Locust Hall in the New Rochelle campus in single, double, triple and quad occupancy rooms with compulsory meal plans. Gaddy Hall can accommodate up to 300 students and consists of classrooms, faculty offices, Gaddy cafes, and a courtyard. At the same time, Locust Hall is equipped with facilities like fully-furnished rooms, TV, refrigerators, laundry, fitness center and computer rooms.
Basketball, soccer, track and cross country are famous sports at Monroe College apart from the 50 student clubs for extracurricular activities. Monroe College assists students in placements through career fairs, workshops and by providing personal career counsellors. With a graduation rate of 72%, the average salary of graduates is around 51934 USD.
