Mississippi State University officially called Mississippi State University for Agriculture and Applied Science is a public land-grant research University. It was established in 1878 in the city of Starkville, Mississippi. The university has nine colleges and three schools offering more than 175 graduate, specialized degree programs and baccalaureates.
Popular majors that students can opt for are Education, Business, Management, Marketing, Engineering, Leisure, Recreations and Fitness and Multi/Interdisciplinary and related support services. The Main Campus of the University is spread across 4,200 acres and is home to more than 730 buildings.
