Florida Institute of Technology (Florida Tech), a private research university with more than 50 years of history, is headquartered in Melbourne, Florida, in the United States. Academic prerequisites


International students seeking first-year, transfer, or graduate admission to Florida Tech must meet the same academic requirements as domestic students, with the exception that international first-year and transfer students are not required to submit SAT or ACT scores. All applications are evaluated using the same admission standards. International applicants have the option to decline the test while submitting an application for admission. The principal goal of Florida Tech is to enroll students who stand a good chance of succeeding in one of the university's challenging degree programs.

  1. English Language Competency - If English is not your first language, you must demonstrate proficiency before enrolling in academic classes at Florida Tech
  2. Obtaining Your I-20 - If you are accepted and decide to attend Florida Tech, you will need to apply for nonimmigrant student status with the federal government in order to travel and study in the United States. The I-20 is the starting point

The University has over 27 different residential facilities divided into freshman and upperclassmen areas.  Its residence halls and apartment communities provide a variety of amenities including cable TV, laundry facilities, ethernet connection and wireless fidelity.

 

Florida Tech offers several housing options for students including:
