  • High school/secondary school transcripts
    Transcripts must be certified and submitted in English; translation or review services may require a charge to be paid to an outside credential evaluation service by the student.
    You may apply if you have not completed high school or secondary education and meet the following requirements:
    By the start date at ECC, you must be 17 years old or older.
    Transcripts from high school or secondary school demonstrating completion of at least 11 years of secondary education are required (equivalent to junior-level standing in high school).
    We strongly encourage you to provide official, English-translated copies of transcripts for possible credit if you have finished post-secondary courses (university or college). You'll need to have your transcripts examined by a provider that has been approved by the college.
  • Students who feel they meet the federally mandated English language competence criterion must produce one of the following documents as proof of proficiency:
  1. A minimum TOEFL score of 197 on the computer-based version, 527-530 on the paper-based exam, or 
  2. 71 on the Internet-based exam; or 
  3. A minimum IELTS band score of 6.0; or 
  4. A minimum Pearson Test of English Academic (PTE Academic) score of 50; or 
  5.  Aminimum score of 60 on E3PT; or 
  6. A minimum score of 95 on the Duolingo English Test; or 
  7. A minimum score of 95 on the Duolingo English Test;
