Undergraduate Admissions at Concordia University

How to Apply

Follow the steps below to apply to CUI as an international student.

1. Fill out and submit your application

  • International students are strongly encouraged to apply early.

2. Submit a certified copy of your transcript.

Transcripts from all secondary and post-secondary schools attended, current as of the application deadline, must be submitted. High school transcripts will only be deemed authentic if they are emailed or mailed in a sealed envelope directly from the high school guidance counsellor to the admissions counsellor, or if they are hand-carried to Concordia University Irvine in a sealed envelope. ALL non-US equivalent transcripts must be accompanied by a certified English evaluation and translation that details your coursework, tests, grades, passing and maximum marks, and secondary school graduation proof .A first-year student must have a minimum GPA of 2.8 on a 4.0 scale, or an equivalent in the grading system used in the nation from where the student is applying. A minimum GPA of 2.3 is required for transfer students.

3. Submit official test results from one of the tests listed below.

One of the following standardized assessments is required of first-year students. The Office of Undergraduate Admissions must receive scores directly from the testing institution. School code for the SAT is 4069, and the school code for the ACT is 0227. Copies of official documents are considered unofficial.

  • SAT: At least a 980 Evidence-Based Reading and Writing + Math score is required.
  • ACT: The student must have a composite score of at least 18 on the ACT.
  • The TOEFL is an English language competency test for non-native English speakers. A score of 79 on the iBT is required.
  • A minimum band of 6.5 in IELTS is required.

  • All students under the age of 21 are required to live on campus.
  • UG students are provided with housing by the university.
  • Graduate students may live on campus with the Director of University & Residential Housing Services' consent.
  • Chi Rho, Chi Sigma, and Upper/Lower Quads are the three student halls of the university.
