Located North East of England in the port city of Sunderland, the University of Sunderland is a public research university that gained the status of a university in 1192. With three campuses in Sunderland and London and one international campus in Hongkong, the university promotes the idea of sweet absorption of knowledge through its motto while ensuring the transformation of its students into aware and leading citizens of the global world.
The disciplines at the university are organized into five uniquely designed faculties: the faculty of arts and creative industries, the faculty of business, law, and tourism, the faculty of education and society, the faculty of health sciences and wellbeing, and the faculty of technology. Each of the faculties is constituted by several schools and research centers. Named the University of the Year for Social Inclusion, the university hosts tens of thousands of students from different parts of the world by maintaining zero tolerance for discrimination.
