  • Established in 1881, the University of Dundee is a public research university at Dundee, Scotland. During its initial days, Miss Mary Ann Baxter and John Boyd Baxter donated £140,000 for establishing the college in Dundee, which marked the establishment of the university. The present campus of the university has been developed in the last 50 years. 
  • The university has consistently ranked among the top universities, and currently, according to QS World University Rankings, the University of Dundee ranks at 322. Courses at the University of Dundee include undergraduate and postgraduate including research degrees. 
  • It comprises 10 schools: School of Business, School of Humanities, School of Science and Engineering, School of Life Sciences, School of Social Sciences, and others. The university currently has a total undergraduate student population of 12,000, and approximately 22% of the student population is international, representing 145 countries.

Admission requirements

To be considered for a seat on the International Incorporated Bachelor's (IIB) or International Incorporated Master's (IIM) programmes at International College Dundee, you must meet our English language criteria. Both courses require an IELTS score of 5.5 or higher, with 5.5 in each component.

If you do not meet these English Language criteria, we recommend that you take a pre-sessional English course before beginning the first stage of your selected IIB or IIM programme.

Accommodation at Dundee

All of our student housing is self-catering, with single bedrooms that have an en-suite shower and toilet. We can discover the right location to live for you among our nearly 1600 bedrooms spread across four campuses.

Accommodation applications will open in May. We will contact you through email if you have firmly accepted Dundee as your first option on UCAS. Invitations are sent out based on the date and time you selected Dundee as your preferred destination.
