I visited the Mumbai Museum last year in the month of December. My visit was simply splendid. I was very proud of my Indian heritage looking at all the exhibits that were placed in the museum. The museum has been separated within four floors of which the first floor is dedicated to Roman architecture and sculptures, the second floor for the Buddhist sculptures and the third and fourth floor strictly for Indian sculptures. It also presented a lot of coins from different eras and fossils in the natural history part of the museum. My experience was very educational and knowledgeable. I had a lot of fun as I had visited the museum with my friends and I could not find words to describe the experience rather than it being knowledgeable and sophisticated. I had audio guides with me which helped me understand the exhibits in a deeper, more knowledgeable way. I wanted to also explore other parts of the museum but there was such less time as I wanted to give to each exhibit individually. There were exhibits which were way older than I am and I simply relished in that fact.

So I visited the museum about a year ago. When I went inside, the museum guide, he greeted us and he showed us the basics of the museum. We then proceeded on to move into the first floor which had tall structures of prehistoric animals such as dinosaurs. Moreover, there were many tribes and structures of the houses tribes would live in back to prehistoric times and the ice age. Additionally, I also saw a lot of weapons that were used in past wars as well as a lot of structures of boats and ships. So, the overall visit of the museum was quite learning for me since I got to refresh my mind on quite a lot of new structures, animals, etc. Additionally, I think it was quite a lovely experience overall since I was there with my friends as well which made it a better experience for me. To summarize all of this, I'd say the overall experience of visiting the museum was quite a joy. If anything, I might have developed a few hobbies from this such as learning more about history since that now interests me somehow which I think is a good thing. Overall, I think it helped me jog my memory since a lot of the things that I saw there were brought to me in high school. So, yeah, quite a lovely experience.

Follow up questions

What specific exhibits did you find most interesting in the museum?
I found the exhibits on prehistoric animals, especially the dinosaurs, to be the most fascinating. The life-sized structures really brought the past to life for me. Yes, I've visited a few other museums, including art and science museums. Each has its unique charm, but I feel that history museums, like the one I visited, offer a deeper connection to our past. The artifacts and stories shared in history museums resonate with me more than other types of exhibits.

I have visited a museum during my childhood and it is one of the most cherished memories I have. It was a real museum. I went there with my parents. It was super fascinating for an 8 year old to see all the trains standing next to each other and not moving. I mean it was incredible to see the ancient trains, the ones with steaming engines. I also saw the materials used to steam the engines like the coal and etc. There were dummies of people adding coal to a dummy model of a steam engine. The trains were super big and huge. They could also tell the history of India and how people used to travel at that time which was amazing. To be there with my parents also made me happy because they had witnessed that era. They had been in one of those trains and they were telling me everything like how it used to run, at what time we used to reach, what was the speed of those trains. There was a mini toy train which was available.

During the late years of my childhood, I was a student of exceptional curiosity. I used to think how life came into existence and what happened to all the animals who used to live before us and all sorts of questions. So my father knew that I had an interest in subjects like geography and archaeology. So one day he decided to take me along with him to the local museum. However, we got to know that it was closed as it was a Sunday. So we came back the other day and we bought the tickets and entered the museum. After reaching there, I had seen a lot of replicas of all sorts of bone structures of the different kinds of dinosaurs and all the different things from the past. For example, the weapons they used to hunt with during the prehistoric era and all sorts of other archaeological things. Additionally, my father also took me to a nearby pawn shop where he showed me different kinds of souvenirs he collected over the years. From his time, he served in the army during World War II. So I got really excited and I decided to take a look. That feeling, I can't explain it, but it was so exceptionally great that I felt really great that day. I was happy and I got to gather a lot more information about things and that thing developed more curiosity in me.

Last month during my college trip, I visited the folklore museum in Ernakulam district of Kerala, which is basically made of mud and the infrastructure is very authentic and it gives a soothing atmosphere. A live melody was played inside the museum which helps our mind to get relaxed and they portrayed all kings, knives, swords and all and other equipments which were used by the kings and the musical instruments were one of the highlights of that building. There are abina, tabla and other historical instruments which are not really known of. So the experience in visiting a museum was really good. Moreover, it is a pleasant atmosphere for everyone who comes into the museum as we listen to the music inside it. They never play loud music, only soothing sounds of violin, guitar and all are roaming around each and every corners of the building which helps us to recall many things of our past as well as present life. It helps us to collect a group of memories for a lifetime which is really precious and which can be stored as a moment to be known.

Recently, I visited National Museum, which is located in New Delhi. I visited there along with my friends. We reached there at 11 o'clock. We purchased the tickets, which cost us around 100 rupees for group of five. Then after going through all the security requirements, we just entered the museum. The first section that we have explored, it belongs to Indus Valley Civilization, where various artifacts belonging to Harappa and Mohenjo-Daro has been preserved, like beads, comb, vessels, terracotta pots, seals, and even few statues. That's quite intriguing that people of that time have so much skill that they can make something quite ordinary. After that, we visited other sections like Kushan period, where we find various Buddhist artifacts like from Amravati, from Pataliputra, and many other places. Then we headed towards Gupta period section, where we see lots of beautiful and intricate carved stone figures of various Hindu deities. Not just that, we also found various golden coins belonging to that period and golden jewelries. That's quite intriguing for me how people dress
