HEC Paris MBA Scholarship 2022- Application, Types & Amount Of Scholarships

The HEC Paris Scholarships Committee automatically considers every applicant who has enrolled for the MBA program for the Excellence and Diversity awards. If one wants to be considered for the Forte and L’Oreal scholarships, then the candidate must submit their essay along with their Master of Business Administration application. Thanks to the HEC Foundation’s efforts, the HEC Paris MBA program is able to provide approximately €1,000,000 as financial aid for tuition and accommodation to students each year.

Application to HEC Paris Scholarships

You can apply at any time of the year to start your HEC MBA program in January or September. You will find out if you have been accepted to the programme five weeks after the submission deadline.

Step 1: Know your application deadline

Find the application deadline for before you apply, and submit your application by that date. You may edit and modify the application at your own leisure, thanks to an auto-save system.

Step 2: Pre-selection Jury

The Admissions Board will convene for a Pre-Selection Jury after receiving your application. That’s when they take a close look at your application. They assess all formal components of your application during the Pre-Selection Jury, including your educational history, professional experience, and foreign experience, as well as the essays and letters of recommendation.

Step 3: Two rounds of interviews with HEC Paris MBA students

You will be invited for two different interviews if you pass the Pre-Selection Jury. The interviewees are HEC Paris MBA program graduates. In the decision-making process, both interviews are equally important. Each one comprises a 10-minute presentation on the chosen topic followed by an in-depth discussion about your application. The interviews are conducted entirely in English.

Step 4: Jury discussion and admission notification

Representatives from the French Ministry of Education, HEC Paris alumni, and members of the HEC Paris faculty, as well as the Dean of the HEC Paris MBA, serve on the Admissions Juries. Each jury member will thoroughly examine your application, including your essays, letters of recommendation, and the interviewers’ notes. A representative of the Admissions department will inform you of the final decision and your admittance into the programme within a couple hours of the Admissions Jury meeting. 

Step 5: Scholarship Application

You will have the chance to access scholarships during the application process. For that, you need to notify the Admissions Committee during the program application program, and they will then assist you throughout the application process.

Note: You cannot reapply within the same academic year if you are not enrolled the first time you apply. You have to wait one academic year before you can be eligible for admission again.

Types and Amount of HEC Paris Scholarships

Scholarships come in a variety of amount, and the Scholarship Committee chooses how much monetary benefit each candidate will get. Many aspects of your application are taken into account for eligibility by the committee. This includes your transcripts, essays, background and employment record, your GMAT scores, and the performance of your interview sessions with HEC Paris MBA program alumni.

Internal HEC Paris MBA Scholarships

HEC PARIS MBA Scholarship for Excellence

This merit-based scholarship will be automatically evaluated for all admitted candidates. Candidates who are granted the HEC Excellence Scholarship are not barred from enrolling for other scholarships. They may also apply for other scholarships if they are eligible. Scholarships totalling up to 50% of tuition fees are available to applicants. The amount awarded is taken from the last tuition instalment.

Forté Foundation Scholarship for Women Candidates

The HEC Paris MBA will award major scholarships to remarkable women as part of our relationship with the Forté Foundation. The scholarships will help boost leadership chances for women in business by opening educational pathways. Only admitted students are qualified to apply for this scholarship of up to € 26,000.

High-quality candidates who satisfy usual selection requirements and have exhibited excellent leadership qualities in academic excellence, team cohesion, creative activity, and a dedication to women through interpersonal mentoring or community involvement are eligible for the Forté Scholarship. Applicants must write a 1,500-word essay describing why they should be chosen as a Forté Scholar.

HEC Paris MBA Scholarship for Diversity

Candidates must have academic excellence and a solid professional background to be considered. Candidates must explain in their final application essay the distinctive value that their specific profile would bring to the class in their admissions application. Scholarships totalling up to 50% of tuition fees are available to applicants. The amount awarded is taken from the last tuition instalment.

30% Club Scholarship

For both intakes, HEC offers scholarships to high-potential women in the business of 50 percent of tuition fees for the first year of studies.

ARD/HEC Paris Scholarship

HEC Paris has formed a cooperation with the ARD (Agence de Reconversion de la Défense, commonly known as Défense Mobilité) to help officers from all branches of the French armed forces move to civilian life with a scholarship worth € 16,000. Officers are from the French military services who have started their transition with the ARD and have been accepted into the HEC Paris MBA program.

Note: 

• Candidates who have over 50% of their tuition expenses paid for them by their employer or the government are ineligible. 
• In the case of a Double Degree, the amount of scholarship granted will be evaluated on the basis of pro-rata (prorated).
• The combination of scholarships in HEC foundation, Forte Foundation, Paris Saclay Scholarships, and ARD cannot be more than 50% of the total tuition fee.

External HEC Paris MBA Scholarships

Eiffel Scholarship for candidates working in emerging countries

Only admitted candidates are eligible to apply for this scholarship. Candidates must be under the age of 25. Candidates with a non-French nationality are eligible to apply. The Eiffel Scholarship covers additional expenses such as travel, health insurance, and cultural events in addition to a monthly grant of roughly € 1,100. Please note that this award does not cover tuition costs.

Note: 

• Applicants who hold dual citizenship, one being French, are ineligible.
• The Eiffel Scholarship cannot be combined with any other scholarship or prize from the French government.

L’OREAL Scholarship

Only admitted students are eligible to apply for this scholarship. The L’Oréal Scholarship is awarded to exceptional applicants who can demonstrate substantial professional successes, leadership potential, and the capacity to take the initiative, encourage and direct people, foster collaboration, and think creatively and innovatively. To qualify for a scholarship worth up to € 10,000, applicants must submit a 1,500-word essay explaining the leadership style that they believe enhances creativity and innovation.

Paris Saclay Innovation Cluster Scholarship

Only admitted candidates from Paris Saclay institutions and Grandes Ecoles, as well as employees working on the ‘plateau de Saclay’ site, are eligible to apply for this € 16,000 award.
