STANDARDS FOR ENTRY

The following minimum Graduate School criteria must be met by all overseas graduate applicants to the University of Utah:

- A bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited college or university in the United States or from an institution recognised by their own country's Ministry of Higher Education. Applicants with international degrees will be evaluated by the Office of International Admissions to see if they meet the Graduate School's requirement of a recognised Bachelor's degree.

- An undergraduate weighted mean GPA of 3.0 or better on a 4.0 scale. If the student's undergraduate GPA is less than 3.0, a GPA will be determined based on the last two years of study if the student attended a foreign university, and the last 60 semester hours (90 quarter hours) if the student attended a U.S. college.

• Scores on the English Proficiency Test must be submitted by international applicants (TOEFL, IELTS, Duolingo).

Graduate Admissions at the University of Utah

Graduate courses have different requirements than undergraduate courses. Aside from the standard documents such as transcripts and academic records, there are just a few additional things required when enrolling for a graduate programme.

This is the application fee for everyone. However, keep in mind that the application price may vary depending on the course. It is important to keep in mind that the application cost is non-refundable. Scholars, on the other hand, may be exempt (only for native applicants).
