  • North Georgia University is a public senior military college in Georgia, United States. It is one of the six military colleges in the United States, offering the US Army Reserve Officer Training Corps (ROTC) program for those wishing to join the military. The University was founded in 1873 as the North Georgia Agricultural College. The University of North Georgia attained its current status after the conglomeration of North Georgia College and State University and Gainesville State College in 2013, making it the sixth-largest public University in the state.

The eligibility criteria a student must meet in order to be considered for admission are:


  • Before the first day of class, you must be 16 years old
  • Must have completed high school
  • International students who are classified as regular freshmen (those who graduated from high school less than 5 years ago) or freshmen/transfers (those who graduated from high school less than 5 years ago and have less than 30 transferred college hours) must present official SAT or ACT scores
  • English language proficiency test

The application must be made online and submitted along with the following supporting documents,

    • Document by document, ideally by NACES, the transcript must be examined
  • Official entrance test scores
    • Applicants who have less than 30 transfer credit hours must submit SAT/ACT test scores
  • English proficiency test results 
    • Standardized test scores, such as IELTS/TOEFL, must be delivered directly from the testing agency to the University
  • Proof of finances
    • Applicants must provide a financial affidavit and bank statement demonstrating the availability of at least $39,000 USD in money
