The University of Connecticut is a public research university located in Connecticut, United States. The university was founded in 1881 as the Storrs Agricultural School. It took on its current name in 1939 when it achieved university status. Commonly known as a Public Ivy, it is also part of the Universitas 21 network, a global network of research intensive universities. Basic Instruction:

Secondary school in a relevant discipline from a recognised institution (equal to US 9–12 grades)

A four-year bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline from a regionally accredited college or university with a minimum GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale English Proficiency (any of):

79 out of 100 in an internet-based test
550 on the old paper-based test
New paper-based test: 22/30 in each of the parts of listening, reading, and writing
A minimum of 53 Standardized Exams on the PTE Academic:

The GMAT is required for MBA applications.
GRE (Graduate Record Examination) is a subject test for MS applications.

The University of Connecticut (UConn) believes on-campus housing to be an important and fundamental aspect of its students' overall education. The Residency Requirement was created after careful study.
