  • Hall 14

 

Hall 14 provides everything you'd want in your new home away from home, including proximity to the library, Student Recreation Center,  and the East College Cafeteria. Hit the books in the study room, grab a bite to eat in the community kitchen, or play a game of Ping-Pong in the lobby.

Look no further if you're seeking ways to get involved and meet other Lumberjacks: Residents of this hall enjoy intramural sports, study groups, and other activities sponsored by SFA's Residence Hall Association.

  • Hall 20

 

This co-ed residence hall is known for its strong feeling of community and a year-round calendar of events and innovative activities. You can take a self-defence class or join a game of Ultimate Frisbee at Hall 20. Play volleyball or video games. Take sides in the fabled Floor Wars in Hall 20, or test your creativity in a decorating competition.

Of course, Hall 20 is about more than just having a good time. Each room offers an air conditioner, a microwave/refrigerator, and spectacular views of the neighbouring Ag Pond. You'll never be far from Lumberjack and Ladyjack sports or exciting events like Holler at Homer because Hall 20 is next to Homer Bryce Stadium.

  • Kerr Hall

 

The university is a warm, accepting, and supportive environment where you will be treated as if you were a family member. Kerr Hall boasts one of the best communities and activities organised by the Hall Council. This all-female hall is part of SFA's First Year Commons. Many first-year residents enjoy Kerr Hall so much that they choose to stay until they graduate.

  • Lumberjack Landing

 

This four-story co-ed residential hall contains everything you'll need to smooth the transition to college life. A monthly programme of entertaining activities will help you get to know your fellow Lumberjacks, and Lumberjack Landing's 16 study rooms will ensure you have plenty of opportunities to study.

You don't have to look far for additional academic assistance. Lumberjack Landing's staff and community assistants offer a variety of educational programmes throughout the year. The Ed and Gwen Cole Student Success Center, located on the first level, includes amenities such as a residents computer lab and three private study spaces.

  • Lumberjack Lodge

 

Two- and four-bedroom suites with fully equipped kitchenettes and furnished living areas are available in this co-ed residence hall.

Lumberjack Lodge combines apartment-style living with student-friendly amenities such as coinless laundry (two per floor), TV lounges, and a game area with a pool table! Lumberjack Lodge is also conveniently located in the middle of the SFA campus, close to the East College Cafeteria, the R.W. Steen Library, and Homer Bryce Stadium.

  • Lumberjack Village

 

This coed residential hall, consisting of three buildings, has something for everyone. Do you want to be alone? Apartment-style suites with private rooms with full-sized beds and a communal bath are available in Buildings 1 and 3. Are you looking for a more communal living situation? The "quad" rooms in Building 2 are unique (two students per room and a shared bath). Do you enjoy cooking? The flats in Building three full offer kitchens and stackable washers and dryers.

Regardless of which building you pick, you will have access to all of the amenities that make Lumberjack Village a terrific place to live. A fully equipped shared kitchen and a game area are available at the community centre. A sand volleyball court is open in the outdoor recreation area. You'll have many possibilities because Lumberjack Village is home to SFA's Residence Hall Association.

  • South Hall

 

South Hall, within walking distance of the Baker Pattillo Student Center, R.W. Steen Library, and the Student Recreation Center provides a calm, low-key atmosphere for Summer 2022 students in the centre of the SFA campus.

This co-ed residence hall features everything you'll need for work and leisure, including a lobby with a flat-screen TV, a community kitchen, and coinless laundry facilities. South Hall, with a capacity of only 90 Lumberjacks, is one of the smallest on campus, so you'll never feel like just another face in the crowd.

  • Steen Hall

 

Lumberjacks live large at Steen Hall. This coed, two-tower residence hall is the most extensive on-campus and offers a lot. Steen hosts over 100 exciting events throughout the year, ranging from karaoke nights in the lobby to community outreach activities. Do you need some time to study alone? It's no problem. Visit one of our study rooms equipped with dry erase boards and plenty of space for students to stretch out. If you're seeking a residence hall that genuinely gives you the "college feel," look no further than Steen Hall.

  • Wisely Hall

 

Wisely Hall is a co-ed honours residence hall for freshman and upper-level students interested in academics. Wisely Hall gives studious Lumberjacks a peaceful space to hit the books, with a capacity of only 77 students and 24-hour quiet hours.

When residents are not studying, they like hanging out in the lobby and watching sports or participating in unusual activities and programmes like Friends and Family Weekend, Stay at Home Weekend, and the ever-popular Pancakes and Pajamas study break breakfast-at-night programme.

The School of Honors must accept residents because Wisely Hall is an honours hall. A cumulative GPA of 3.25 or better is required of all Wisely residents.

Off-Campus Accommodation

 

Living on campus allows you to immerse yourself in the college experience entirely, and studies show that GPAs are higher for students who live on campus and graduation rates than for those who do not. You can live off campus if you're an upperclassman with at least 60 semester hours or if you're at least 21 years old. You'll need to apply for off-campus permission if you don't have one.
