At SUNY Plattsburgh, on-campus living provides a safe setting for students to address their social and academic difficulties. Students who want to reside on campus must have all of their vaccinations. 85 percent of first-year students live in FY themed housing, which includes Moffitt, Whiteface, Wilson, or mixed-level buildings.

Students can choose sophomore and junior housing based on a subject of their choice by forming groups. After paying a $250 admission deposit through the housing site, incoming freshmen can apply for housing.
