Formed in 1922, the San Mateo Colleges - College of San Mateo has been instrumental in offering higher education and academic services to students from across the globe. As a public community college, it is currently located in San Mateo, California. Initially, William L Glascock proposed the idea of the college, and it started with the name of San Mateo Junior College.
The current name was adopted in 1954. San Mateo Colleges - College of San Mateo serves more than 10,000 students in the different shifts of morning, evening and weekend classes. It offers more than 75 programs at undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral levels.
