Rochester Institute Of Technology, established in 1829 is a private research university in Rochester of New York. The university is home to 15,000+ undergraduate students hailing from 50+ states and 100+ countries and 2,900+ graduate students. The university's main campus is spread across 1,300 acres and ranks 104 among the top national research universities. The university has three campuses in Europe, one in the middle east and one in east Asia. It proudly arranges the fourth oldest and one of the most extensive programs globally in cooperative education. 

 

The university holds excellence in computer science, liberal art, research, engineering and technology programs, and communication and digital media. It offers 78 Bachelor's,  73 Master's, 11 PhD, and 49 accelerated dual degree programs in its 11 colleges. For an enhanced educational experience, RIT offers experiential learning courses to gain hands-on practical training. There are scopes for internships, international experience, entrepreneurship, clinical experience, and hands-on training in multidisciplinary projects.

 

Rochester Institute Of Technology also offers housing facilities and has RIT residence halls, suites, apartments, housing, and the global village. There are also six greek housings for sororities and fraternities. There are 300+ clubs and student organizations for active student engagement, along with 24 NCAA varsity sports. It also has the National Technical Institute for the Deaf to provide deaf students with professional, academic, and technical assistance. RIT has an extensive alumni association with 125,000 alumni members, which included 13 Pulitzer prize winners as well. Procedure

 

Step 1: Complete the Common Application or RIT Application


Step 2: Pay the $65 application fee


Step 3: Submit an official high school transcript. Transcripts must be sent electronically or mailed/emailed to RIT Admissions from your high school. 


Step 4: Submit a letter of recommendation


Step 5: Provide official or self-reported test results from the SAT or ACT.


For Fall 2022: RIT is "Test Optional" for all undergraduate programs. Applicants may choose whether to report test scores to be considered with their application.
International Applicants Only - Students whose native language is not English must submit results of the TOEFL, IELTS or PTE Academic examination. 


Note: An Art Portfolio is required for admission to the School of Art, School of Design and School of Film and Animation

Residence hall students are part of a diverse learning community with a variety of interests and lifestyles. They are encouraged to explore, engage, and learn in this supported living environment, which offers 13 halls and a variety of particular interest and lifestyle levels.

Residence Halls are a campus-based neighbourhood with convenient access to food, mail delivery, and Residence Life support staff and are connected by a network of subterranean tunnels.
